Birthday Getaway

I stayed at Birds Nest Resort on June 16-18. What a great place! Very quaint and very quiet. Rooms were clean and bed was very comfortable. Angie was very nice and made you feel welcome. I will definitely stay here again.

Owners are awesome in every way. One of the best places I have ever stayed! Property is quaint and had that "island feel" Spotlessly clean, great location, quiet, and beautiful! We were able to rent our golf carts on site for much less than anywhere else on the island Owners were readily accessible at all times The owners obviously take great pride in the Bird's Nest Resort!

Great and personable....Ed was great. Loved the stay will definitely stay again. Could use reading lights in room and taller shower heads but wouldn't stop us from staying again

Not clean.

The cottage was a little run down, which would be okay if it was clean. It was a little gross. The fidge has dried food and liquids at the bottom. The toilet had hair around the base. I asked for extra blankets for the pull outs twice and never received them. The front desk guy was super nice. It was in a great location.

Room needs a serious update!

First of the the service is outstanding! They are helpful and gracious in every way. The outside of the cottages are neat and attractive. However, the inside of our double room was tiny and in need of an update. The fan was from the 80s and had dust. The fridge door drug on the ground to open. I’m just thinking that paying $200 a night that the rooms need to be updated. My advise is to update the rooms the way the checkin cottage looks. It was brand new and adorable. Also new Rubbermaid chairs are needed to sit out on the porch. They looked like they were stained and possibly 5-10 years old...not for guests to sit on. The pool was fine. Enjoyed sitting out on our porch chatting. Ice is $2.50 for a larger bag of ice so bring a cooler to keep it in. The Wi-Fi was inconsistent as well. We rented a golf cart and really enjoyed the experience of driving around seeing and stopping at the sights. This place is in a fabulous area that is quiet and maintained nicely. Just modernize the rooms please.

Everything was as expected from the info on the site. If you need a place to lay tour head and have a clean room without a bunch of frills, away from the crowds this is definitly the place. The only thing that could possibly be a negative is that they don't mention on their website that they have golf carts for rent so you don,t have to go to an outside company to get one. Very nice place and the staff was super friendly. Will be staying here again on my next trip to Put In Bay.

Loved our stay at Birds Nest. It was HOT outside but the pool provided a great refresh. The room was nice, cool and comfortable. The owners have recently remodeled the whole place. The grounds are well maintained and they obviously take a lot of pride in their place. It was a plus to be out of town in a quiet area as well.

Reasonable golf cart rate, well maintained lawn. Inside of cottage & porch lacked cleanliness

Inside of cottage and porch lacked cleanliness. Found brats left behind from previous renters in microwave; greasy stove; soiled washcloth left in shower; TV remote was missing and couldn't watch TV. Porch was not swept, table and chairs had not been wiped down; dusty and dirty floor. Big hole in screen porch door with weak attempt of trying to cover it; doesnt cost alot to replace screen. When shared during check out was essentially scolded that it had not been reported the day before. No ownership; disappointed in how that was handled. Could have accommodated us with refund on cart.

This place is cute and off the Main Street it’s quite at night but only a couple of miles from downtown. The taxi are only $3.00 bucks a person and will pick you up at the door. The cabin has a microwave and refrigerator in the unit also tv and internet connection. For the hot days the air conditioning in the unit Or go swimming in the pool. Family fun with out the tent. We highly recommended this place to our friends.
