Brand new, clean and cozy place near the airport. Comfortable and clean room and well equipped kitchen. Especially the coffee and tea machine always provides fresh drinks all the time. The guesthouse is a real good value. Easy check in (just a PIN Code and you can arrive when you want) and good WLAN as well.
The guesthouse is new and the rooms are comfortable. However, people also live here permanently and that means a full kitchen and fridge. New owner does her best enormously to help and to make things better. Location is very close to airport in small village. Nice public swimmingpool.
Great lil place to stay near the airport!!! Everything was very clean, well kept and designed nicely. I especially like the shower- excellent water pressure!
The property is exceptionally clean & the kitchen facilities are recommended. The bed is comfortable. The room is small & the furnishings sparse but adequate. What is not recommended is that the property is run a bit on the cheap. Because of the limited number of units, there is no reception. So there is no guidance on what to do in Iceland. Also, the security system is challenging. The front door does not open easily & you must remember your security code to the front door & your room. It's a nightmare when you take a shower & find yourself locked out of your room, coz you forgot your code. (The bathrooms are separate from your room). The bathrooms have no windows, but lack extruder facilities. As a result they smell, even though the bathroom is kept spotlessly clean.
Good location for visitors needing to go to the airport. Location is out in a small rural area but there is a nice supermarket within walking distance.
Nice big spacious rooms with wall to wall windows (at least in our room!). Access to a fridge, cookware, and all day coffee drinks were also a plus. My 5 year old was disappointing that there was not a TV but somehow he survived by watching cat videos on my phone (free WiFi :))
Chambre très petite mais très propre, dans un état impeccable. Les salles de bains partagées et WC sont très modernes, très propres. Une cuisine très bien équipée est à disposition.
Graystone is this futuristic little gem only 10 minutes from the Airport. I was given a code to enter the building and my room, no old keys to fumble with - I never saw staff, but I didn't need to. Everything was perfect, my room was perfectly clean and tidy and brand new. Lights were on motion sensors in the bathrooms, that were also new and clean. Overall very sleek and great location - would stay there again in a heartbeat.
A wonderfully clean and quiet place with the nicest coffee automated machine I've ever seen, and they even had good herbal teas. So you know, even though this is in a close location to KEF airport, this still means nearly a two hour walk along uninviting roads, or a 30-40 euro cab ride.
Wonderful experience at the Graystone. Strategically located very close to the airport (although you will need a car rental as taxi prices to the hotel are crazy expensive). It was a very comfortable and efficient hotel. Has all the amenities you will need...nothing really fancy but all that you will need for your stay.
There is a great, little grocery store within walking distance of the hotel.
Most importantly - may stay was memorable because of the kindness and service of the property owner Villa. She is fantastic and so very helpful.
I will definately return to this property.
The room is clean. We arrived late past midnight and left early from the guesthouse and didn’t get chance to take advantage of its amenities— washer and dryer, coffee and tea.
Yet another Icelandic where there is no staff on site and all communication is by email and phone. Nevertheless clean, comfortable and not too far from Keflavik airport.
Unfortunately the town has no restaurant meaning a drive to Keflavik if you want to eat out (not very convenient for breakfast)
We stayed in this guesthouse for one night so we were closeto the airport for an early flight. Super clean place. Really nice shower. Coffee machine, fridge. It's totally new and it's cozy. The town around looks like dead place but it did not bother us much as we had lunch before our arrival. Only annoying thing is that you need a taxi to go to the airport. It's about 7kms away but still will cost you around 4500krs which is ridiculously expensive.
