"I loved having the breakfast buffet available each morning. It was a good way to start the day of adventures. I appreciated that we were within walking distance of many attractions. The staff was very helpful if we needed anything. While this was not what I'd consider a "luxury" hotel, it was exactly what we wanted and needed. I would return to this hotel when returning to San Francisco."

"Stayed here for 3 nights. First and foremost. It is probably the best located hotel on the warf. 10 minute walk to pier 39 one way and 10 minute walk to Ghirardelli square. Hotel is not perfect, looks like they are updating the rooms. Our room had plywood walls on the exterior wall. Room was clean and bed was comfortable though. There is a fridge, but no microwave. That is a common use item near the ice machine in the hallway. Parking is 30 dollars a night. You can come and go as you please and the hotel staff controls the gate, keep you parking pass visible. Most of the parking is covered with plenty of cameras. The muni rail cars has a stop right next to the hotel. Get a 1 or 2 day pass. Worth it. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel and a 7 11 across the street. Also there is NO AC in the rooms. They do provide a box fan and you can open the window. It was fairly quiet in the rooms. Shower was nice. The staff I encountered was friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The cleaning ladies work very hard, and all you have to do is ask if you need something. Overall it was a good deal especially with the location."

"We took the trip to San Francisco for my birthday weekend. The room was clean but smelled musty. The bathroom definitely needs to be cleaned around the flooring. We had a mishap (very unfortunate) almost as soon as we arrived. A person was in the lobby committing Lewd and lascivious behavior. Security on site would be nice. We asked for a water at the front desk and we were told, as a one time courtesy, we could have a bottle of water. Thanks!! This hotel does not care if it is a special occasion or if you are traumatized on their property, you're just another number. We will not be staying at this property next time."

"I live in SF and had a friend stay here for three nights. The whole facility is clean with attractive decor. The location is great. One block away is a Walgreens (at the old Tower Records location) for the forgotten anything. In and Out hamburgers are around the corner. The Buena Vista is two blocks away for the classic Irish coffee. The cable car turn around is across from the Buena Vista for the best cable car line. The swimming pool is heated (!) and there are cabanas and plenty of chairs. Best time the day is early, as the wind picks up in the afternoon. Didn't try the morning breakfast. There are many other breakfast choices within walking distance. A shout out to the staff. Friendly and professional. I asked for a blanket and hot water pot and they were delivered quickly. Thank you."
