"Great value hotel, comfy bed. We had half board and the food was good, but could be busy, especially when a party of 50 flamenco visitors arrived. Perfect for trips to Gibraltar and make sure you go into La Linea. Lovely (small) pool area, with good priced drinks and snacks. Staff were lovely. Would stay again."
THE FLAG Hotel Marbella Estepona - Adults Recommended
10/10 Excellent
"I really enjoyed our stay at The Flag hotel. We stayed in a self catering room. The room was clean, and very spacious with all the facilities of a kitchen, nice sofa and balcony with comfortable chairs. The staff were extremely helpful at all times. The facilities were excellent with wellness spaced gymn.
The only disappointment was the fact that the buffet did not include cooked breakfast, but only a very basic continental one. There was a charge of $25 euros to order cooked foods. I really would expect a hotrl of this standard to provide guests hot foods like eggs / bacon / sausages / mushrooms included in the breakfast buffet without extra fees.
We stayed for dinner one night, a main meal & 3 glasses wine each, without starters/dessert came to nearly $80. The food was delicious! But I have to say the portion sizes were very small, and so I feel was a bit overpriced for what you got.
But there were 2 well stocked and reasonably priced supermarkets 5-10 min walk away and we made snacks / food ourselves too. There is also a lovely chilled water tap on 2nd floor where can fill up as much as want (so don’t need to get loads water bottles).
The beach was accessible via a 5 minute walk through some nice hotel gardens, and was a quiet and lovely sandy beach. There is pathway along the seafront in either direction. Nice for doing runs, walks or cycling.
We enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it."
"We stayed here for 5 days in October, towards the end of their season. We had ground floor rooms the opened to the pool, this was great because we spent most of our day around the fantastic pool. It was late season but the weather was still very nice. They were closing for the winter in 2 weeks and some amenities had been closed. We didn't really miss these. We ate at the Italian restaurant two nights, it was excellent and everyone loved their gelato desserts. Breakfast was also very good. The staff was great, they were always looking to make sure we had a good stay."
"Great location, clean room and hotel. Breakfast was a good varied choice . Staff friendly. Rooftop area nice and pool was a nice bonus although a bit chilly 😊."
"Good basic hotel where I have stayed on several occasions. Rooms are a good size and clean, but very basic. The property is situated at the end of a line of shops and restaurants with a bus stop and taxi rank nearby."
