"Check-in was quick and efficient. The staff were not rude, but the interaction felt somewhat cold and not particularly welcoming.
Our room itself was great—clean, spacious, and comfortable. I especially liked the lavender and clementine toiletries.
Unfortunately, some of the amenities and service fell short. The pool was quite cool and extremely dirty. We notified the staff and even asked if we could borrow a skimmer ourselves, but nothing was done to address it.
Breakfast was another disappointment. Continental breakfast was advertised to start at 7:00 a.m., but by 8:00 a.m. nothing had been set out. I happened to be in the area around 6:45 a.m. and saw staff chatting rather than setting up. Later we were told there had been “a situation,” but the breakfast hadn’t been prepared even before that occurred. Even offering pantry items or a simple alternative would have helped, especially since we booked this hotel partly for the convenience of breakfast.
We also requested extra sheets and blankets for the pull-out couch. Instead of bringing them to the room, we were asked to come pick them up ourselves, and there was some difficulty communicating what we needed.
Overall, the hotel itself was fine and the room was nice, but the level of service and attention to basic amenities was disappointing. Because of that, we would likely choose to stay elsewhere in the future."
