I was not able to use the shower; it was broken. Next morning my wife have red spots on her back because of itching from insects probably. This place should be closed by the authorities for an inspection on cleaning. Do not spend your money here: very bad. The owner does not care as we were told by the front lady that he was aware of the shower been broken.

Cute and clean
This was a simple, cute, clean hotel. The location is close to the public ferry and small restaurant / bar area in town. The WIFI doesn't work in the room but it works in the lobby and on the second floor lobby.

There is a reason for the bargain price, but nice
It's a nice place, and the all inclusive was kinda leaving me wanting. The food was good, no lobsters or prime rib. It catered to a large European crowd. I'm a trained chef from large hotels, and could write a tons of details regarding the food and it's production. Overall I was disappointed by the booze. This is in the Dominican Republic: Presidente is the beer, and Barcelo the rum. It's cheap to begin with, but the hotel's Food & Beverage Director was really going low end. Wine out of plastic jugs? Really?

It's a good hotel to stay in Bayahibe. However, the price is high for what you pay for. The hotel is clean and the staff is ok. The beaches around, particularly Dominicus and the Plata Pública are accesible by car. The exceptionally Beto full beaches of Usla Catalina and Salina are accesobel by boat which you can get easily and dailly from the nearby pier. Both trips are expensive, though. The pool needs more cleaning, although with beautiful beaches arroyando who wants to stay in. WiFi only works only a relatively small lobby that you need to share with others without the privacy of your own room. It should be stated when booking. Overall nice!

No frills hotel close to everything
Very pleasant, simple, clean hotel close to everything such as restaurants, dive shops, the beach and the harbor from where the boats leave for Isla Catalina and Isla Saona. It is for independent travelers and definitely not for those who want an all inclusive hotel experience. I highly recommend it for people who are looking for an affordable accommodation in the central part of town where everything is within a walking distance.

Very basic but comfortable
Mildew smell in our room had me seeking lovely 2nd or 3rd floor lobby veranda to relax in. May be just me dealing with sensitivety but it was overwhelming. Air conditioning worked great. Clean. Water pressure intermittant but hey got the job done. Handheld shower disintegrated and fell off day before we left... Time for a new one. Would recommend with appropriate expectations.

Great location but don't expect too much
This hotel has a great location just a few metres from the waterfront. I don't think Bayahibe offers much in the way of hotels other than large resorts out of town. I did enjoy my stay here - it was clean, friendly and authentic Dominican Republic. However, like most of the DR, little English is spoken and I found it hard to communicate with my very limited Spanish. The restaurant where they send you for breakfast has real potential considering its position right on the boat harbour. However, the menu is limited and uninspiring and the staff apathetic. All up, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for something cheap in a great location with a local feel.

Great little hotel with breakfast included.
I would stay at Bayahibe Hotel again. We planned to go to Isla Saona Island which is just a 4 min walk away to take the boat that trasport you to the Island. Bayahibe public beach is close by too. A 10 min car ride.

There's no free breakfast or wifi here.
The Expedia notes said there was a breakfast included plus free wifi. Neither of these claims are true. Close to the marina to go out to the island. Close to the national park where there is excellent bird watching, hiking, and vill little cave.
