My husband and I just returned home from our stay at HM Alma De Bayahibe and I can't say enough great things about this property. For starters, it is absolutely beautiful. The large salt-water infinity pools overlooking the Caribbean sea make sunsets an absolute dream. The food at the buffet was always very tasty, although at times some of the dishes could have been warmer. The 2 included a la carte restaurants (Alma - Dominican; & Anima - Italian) were fantastic!. We also dined at Tamashi which is the Japanese/Sushi restaurant that is not included in the all-inclusive plan, and our meal was not only delicious but relatively inexpensive. The rooms were clean & modern. The staff throughout the resort were extremely friendly and accommodating. We did have an issue with our room where one of the wall panels fell down, however when we reported it to the staff, instead of just opting to fix it, they upgraded our room complete with a complimentary fruit platter & bottle of champagne, and also provided us with massages for each of us!
The entertainment staff was a lot of fun and had us dancing every afternoon & again in the evening. If you're looking for a party spot, this is probably not the resort for you, as everything ends at 11pm - however it was perfect for us. Definitely a great place to go if you're looking to relax! We will definitely be returning!
