DO NOT STAY HERE. Very rude fellow at the desk, seems to be a swindler. I’d prepaid and reserved a room with a king size bed and view. Upon arrival, he said no rooms were available except for this dingy, dark, musty room under the stairs right next to the office. He charged my credit card for my service dog, even though that’s illegal. He also baited and switched an older couple in front of me, also stating there were no upper floor rooms even though they’d reserved one too. The rooms smell like mildew, dim lighting, and no AC. When I told him the whole thing was unacceptable, he snatched the key from my hand and yelled “You’re unacceptable! Go! Get out!” I contacted Expedia right away to report what happened, and discovered many terrible reviews of the place on Trip Advisor. This place should be shut down.

Parking was fairly easy in the morning and night time. During peak mid day it did get a little hard since it shared with public parking for all of the embarcadero. But definitely pet-friendly would book a stay here again. Especially with the nice view of being near Morro Rock.

Found ants in the room and I didn’t see it mentioned before I booked but rooms have no AC. Room cooled down as it cooled down outside but it was warm when we got there.

While the place was clean and Laurie, the manager, was a real sweetheart and very helpful the place needs a little help. No microwave in the room so couldnt heat the leftovers. The icemaker was broken so no ice. I think short staffed on cleaning so no clean up for second night. But the view is gorgeous. You can see the rock from your room or the balconey. lots of seating to watch sunset. Even with the other "bads" we enjoyed it. Frankie and Lolas is right next door

No frills but plenty of thrills. If you’re into bird watching, beautiful terrain, great food, and great staff. Don’t miss out on this hotspot 😃 And breakfast at the diner attached … it is fantastic 💕

They sold me a booking reservation at 10:00 PM then sent in check-in instructions saying that this check-in is closed at 5 PM then offered no refund not only that but we were sitting outside in our car trying to check in. They claim to have a 24 hour helpdesk nobody was answering the door. Nobody was answering their phones. They just ignored us and left us sleeping in the cold in the car all night for a room that I paid for, and refused to refund it stating that it says clearly the check-in time is ends at five the one that they sent me after 10:00 PM, as if there was a way to know that this is a scam in an outrage don’t stay here.

Check in ends at 5pm. I arrived around 6pm. No one was there and i was stuck out in the cold. I detoured 45 mins off course in anticipation of staying there. Waited about 1.5hrs no one showed. Another couple suffered the same fate. Unbeknownst to us special arrangements are required. They claim staff is available 24/7. Apparently not.

Location was good, John was amazing, very personable and accommodating. The view was phenomenal, housekeeping cleaned the room well. There was a portable heater provided because there is no in room heater. The breaker tripped while getting ready the 1st day during business hours. Unfortunately it tripped again the evening of the second day at 7p after turning on the heater. We reached out in person and by phone unsuccessfully to get ahold of anyone on call for an after hour emergency. The room had no power at all so we ended up packing and paying for another hotel room elsewhere after 30 minutes of trying to reach someone.
