This hotel is in a good area near the beach and there are places to eat and shops within walking distance. The hotel itself is very run down. We rented the apt that fits 5 people it has 2 queen beds and one "fold out couch bed" it was a bad fold out. Its not a matress its just the couch cushin that folds down so you are literally sleeping on a rock hard surface. The ac didn't work at all so our apartment was very hot. The shower had only a drizzle when turned to hot but full pressure on cold. There was only one or two outlets that worked in the room we stayed in. So the t.v wasnt usable bcuz it couldn't get power and it was inconvenient when trying to charge phones. The wifi for the room wasnt usable bcuz you couldnt find it as an option. The guest house was nice but it didnt have much to it. A couch t.v. and a small snack. The ac in there actually works. Overall, the location was pretty good and the price was ok, but I'd never stay there again.

There was sand on top of one of the beds. On the midle of the night we found a huge spider alive and upon departure a centulipede. The place were not the one shown in the fotos. It was an old house in the same street. The customer service on the phone did not even know how the place look from the outside.

The property makes you feel as if this is your mini home.place was very clean and cozy. Plenty of dining options. Beach near by.

Floors stay wet. My wife slipped and scraped her leg badly due to wet floors. No windows except one over the door which allows the hall light to shine through and over the bed at night. Air conditioner kept cutting off at night. An occasional very loud hum kept waking us up at night. No idea where it was coming from. Loud guests in the hall were heard after midnight. No hair dryer in the room. Only one chair in the room. No other furniture. Room #1 at the end of a long hallway. Probably the worst room I’ve ever stayed in during my adult life.

This is a hostel, more or less. S All but clean. No toilet paper holder, no windows in a concrete building. Transome over door allowed light,which was on all night, to light the space all night. Fan squeeked all night.

Firstly, the sheets and pillows are visibly dirty, with hair all over the pillows. This is not at all up to standard for a comfortable stay. Additionally, there's water leaking from the ceiling, which is causing damage to the room, and the toilet is producing bubbles, indicating a plumbing issue. These conditions are unacceptable and greatly impact the quality of my stay. I kindly request immediate attention to rectify these issues and ensure a satisfactory experience. It sounds like they didn't prioritize our room and left it until the last minute to be cleaned, it seems like they may not be inclined to go anywhere if they receive the same treatment.

Place was super sketchy, nothing like the photos. They don’t give you a refund if you find bugs in the bed and don’t offer any kind of accommodation. DO NOT STAY HERE!

I booked the double room with the couch and a little more space. But property owner insisted that I room I booked was the room I received. There was no place to put my cloths they had to stay in luggage not my ideal stay but fell I should have gotten credit back. I was looking to stay at the pelican guest house every 2 months. But rather not have that experience while on vaca.

The photos misrepresented the feel and quality of the place, especially our room which was nothing like the photos online. It was a good value in comparison to the offerings, but I would try somewhere else next time.

I arrived for my stay late, straight from the airport around midnight. I was just about to go in a shower after a long transatlantic journey (3 connecting flights), however the the power went off and did not come back on until 7.20am when someone came to switch on the generator. No tv, In complete darkness. Couldn't see anything, couldn't charge my phone. No wifi. Very disappointed.

When we arrived the toilet wouldn’t work and the shower was drops of water. We sent a message and called the employees to which they barely responded. They told us they’d call us back in 10 minutes and then never did. The next morning (only 1 night stay) they asked us if the same issue was happening, obviously it was. They said they would send a technician to look. We showed the technician and he left and then we still never got a respond how they would compensate us for such an awful stay.

When we arrived at property we would not access right away even though it was after the 3pm check in time. We called and they reported they sent check in info but it wasn’t until we saw the cleaning crew come out of the room that we received check in information. The lighting in the main room and bathroom was terrible. There was little to no hot water and you could constantly hear water pump kick on and off. You could also visibly see where mold was or had been in the room. The bed and pillows we uncomfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and it seems fairly secure and safe.

Well, if you need a cheap place before an early flight, Pelican Poshtel sure is near the airport. Otherwise, it was not quite what we expected. The room had no windows, make sure to bring soap and shampoo as nothing is provided. It also smelled heavy of air freshener with no window to air the room out. It was cheap, and fit our purpose of a place to sleep before a 6am flight, but i wouldn’t want to stay there any longer than one night. They also send you an email saying “you are expected to leave a positive review.” Kind of a red flag. Consider other spots.

I would not recommend staying here. The photos are misleading. I have never stayed in a place like this. Our room had no windows, no phone, low water pressure, no small towels, half a roll of toilet paper, the bathroom door didn’t close. I understand it’s a budget place but the photos should be realistic and reflect what you’re getting so you’re not disappointed when you come here and feel like you’re in a jail cell.

Excellent stay, it is a no frills almost motel but the staff are wonderful and cant beat the price. Walk to beach is great and AC was super in the very clean room. Would def stay there again
