*I DO NOT SMOKE I DO NOT SMOKE!! Being a Casino Supervisor and Gaming Security Supervisor for my workplace, I’m appalled at this WHOLE transaction. YOU GUYS SCAMMED $100 because one of your house cleaners said they “smelt” smoke and just like that it my $100 was added to your broken down hotel funds for the remodeling of your business. THESE guys WILL FIND A REASON! LMAO! I DON’T SMOKE!! I DON’T SMOKE!! I DON’T SMOKE!!! LMFAO!! YOUR PROPERTY LOOKED LIKE CRAP, nothing was open, no continental (for the price WOW) AND NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES ONLINE!! POOL WAS BROWN and not running. I already paid $317 and you needed another $100 and decided just to keep it. Keep the $100, I hope all this news of the scam you run here, keeps others aware!! I came back today for another appointment and STAR Hotel is absolutely fabulous and accommodating. *** Mind you the African lady AND the afghan guy BOTH WENT TO MY ROOM FOR ME when I left my tumbler in the room when I was checking out and NOT ONCE DID THEY SAY ANYTHING..THEY BOTH WENT IN THERE TO GRAB IT. NOR did they say anything when I called 4 times, but was told it takes 3-5 business days to return to your account” which my husband was near to hear every conversation, lol. Every call was “um um, it takes 3-5 days”. Today I called, 6 days later and NOW “our house keeper said they smelt smoke” WHAT? My room? 6 days later?? What a joke and what a joke of a place. Go elsewhere!

We loved the location, so convenient to walk to sites or to catch public transportation. The staff was helpful. The room itself was pretty nice, but there was a bright light just outside of the room at night (the blinds didn't black it out completely), and the elevator made a loud noise we could hear in our room. (Unfortunately, we didn't notice until we were already in bed!)

The property is well kept and easily accessible. It has parking garages that make your stay very comfortable. There are restaurants and shops behind the property in a walkable distance

Overall the stay was good. Room was clean, staff was friendly. None of the hotels near there are outstanding but I never felt unsafe and I could get to things easily enough.

The description did not match the property. We were placed in a room that was 80° with a window unit air conditioner. When we went out with the an/c on and came back around 9:30 pm our room had then heated up to an uncomfortable temperature. We had to move rooms which was a downgrade and the shower still had hair in it. Luckily we only stayed 1 night, if it would have been any longer we would have had to move hotels. Personally, I would not recommend this hotel.

Bad komplett verdreckt (Haare, Urin, braune Spuren an der Wand…). Klimaanlage schaltete sich selbstständig aus. Anlage in schlechtem Zustand. Schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhöltnis.

The staff were all excellent and very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean, and overall I was really happy with the stay, at a very affordable price in a great part of town. It was really close to harbour boat trips, the Golden Gate Bridge, and lots of different bar and restaurant options. Excellent value!

Entrance is hard to see from the street and parking is not well marked. I had to move my car after checking in since I had no idea where to park and I was in the wrong area. Not safe for people with disabilities due to the parking up the hill and the steep walk from the parking to the lobby. The first two rooms I was assigned had doors that would not lock or close or were difficult to close and open. The third room had an unlocked sliding glass door when I entered, but I was able to secure it. (The balcony is not private and anyone could walk by the sliding door and come in if I had not checked it.) The blinds are not completely private and someone could look in from the balcony or walkway. I tripped down the stairs when trying to get back to my car to move it, possibly due to poor lighting. The lady at the desk was helpful, but had to call someone else to determine what rooms were available to switch me to. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
