This hotel is overpriced, a block away from homeless in tents. The guy that checked us in charged one of the rooms I had prepaid for our full 2 night stay and then said oops sorry I can't reverse the charges. Terrible customer service and outdated, overpriced rooms. Beware, avoid staying here.

Staff was wonderful and Hotel room was great. But this area of San Diego has a terrible homeless problem. There are many homeless lining the streets adjacent the hotel. One person stalked me and my dog when I was out walking him and tried to pet him even though I told him to get away. It was very concerning. It’s a shame because Andaz is a great brand.

Staff was great, rooftop was nice with good vibes. Room was nice except the AC wasn’t working well the first night and the hallway was stuffy and had a smell. Over all the hotel was good and I’d go back again. I was surprised to see the amount of homelessness around the area and the streets were dirty. They kept it off the block but it was 1 block either direction. I felt safe at the property itself. Staff was wonderful and helpful!!

Great location in the Gaslamp District. Easy access to tons of amazing shops, restaurants and bars. Museums, parks and zoos nearby as well as Petco stadium. Service was top notch and I loved the rooftop pool. One of the best places I’ve stayed at recently!!
