"Although the reviews were raving, unfortunately I didn’t experience the same.
When checking in, the staff were great, the room has a sort of homely feel, like your staying in someone’s guest room, super clean and simple.
We were only staying 1 night as we had some business to attend to locally early next morning.
So for us it was just somewhere to sleep and shower, but of course, expecting a certain standard.
Unfortunately for us the shower had NO hot water and we called down to reception, who tried to troubleshoot and fix this problem, to no success.
This saga went on until almost 11pm. To which we gave up and just wanted to sleep, like I mentioned we needed an early start so accepted showering wasn’t part of our stay.
We switched the lights off to sleep and was bothered by the humming fridge and flashing light from the tv. Unplugging both solved the problem!!!!
In the morning we hoped the hot water would have been fixed, we ran the water for 15mins and miraculously we got hot water, so we managed to catch a warm shower before leaving, then we had just enough time to grab breakfast.
If we knew what we knew now, we wouldn’t have bothered paying as the breakfast was super simple and you could pay the same or less and grab something else local.
I wouldn’t normally take the time to post a non-positive review, but when complaining at the time, at check out and following up with a detailed email after check out, I would expect at least a reply of some sort….??? "
