The abundant nature just beyond the city offers a variety of daytrips, from visiting traditional Tzotzil and Tzeltal villages to exploring wild national parks. The closest airport, Ángel Albino Corzo International, is about a 1-hour drive away. Consider long-distance buses from towns and cities including Cancún and Oaxaca too. The best way to get around the town is on foot. You will also find taxis, combis (collective minibuses) and bicycles to rent.
