Large parking lot and very quiet, it is a bit antiquated and the fixtures could be replaced. Staff were all friendly and helpful. As others noted the water pressure is very poor but the water was HOT.
The room was very clean and modern. I would definitely stay again 👍

Great place at a great price! You have no idea how nice these rooms are until you stay here and appreciate the renovation done with all new furnishings, instant hit water and plenty of water pressure for a nice shower. All surfaces are nicely covered with black granite with small little varying colors of splash in different shapes & sizes. Nice bright white linens clean with no stains or spots of dust/ dirt. You know the item that got soiled after it was washed, but still left in your room by housekeeping. NOT THE CASE HERE!
Total disappointment. Very frustrating. I’ve stayed here multiple times before due to the location and prices. The rooms are clean for the most part but could use a little remodeling. This particular time I stayed, I was met with rudeness and disrespect all because I asked for a closer room or the same room I had the night before since I wake up at 4 am for work!. I was told no nothing else was available. I took the room that was given. Once I got into the room, I noticed the TV was an older model, which caught my attention. I turned the television on and I was met with a green screen. Turned a few channels and it was choppy. I went back to the front office to ask if the can fix the TV for me or change rooms. I was told “I’m headache“ and “They don’t want people like me on their property”. Remind you I’m expecting, worked 10 hours today and was beyond tired. The man told me, “he doesn’t want my kind there, he going to give my deposit back and I can find somewhere else to stay. The room was already paid for in advance by Expedia. I ask how do I get my refund for the room, since the money was already taken out my account. He brushed me off so bad! Told me he didn’t know, I have to go through them and get it back. The guy had no care or concern at all, and to think, all this came from a couple of requests: fix the TV and/or change rooms. I felt so humiliated and racially profile. It’s people like him who will open up businesses in the urban neighborhoods just to take our money!
Don’t judge a book by its cover! The Welcome Inn has rooms newly renovated w nice hues of light blues & grays on the walls. Clean wood floors! Multi wood headboards & behind the tv on the wall w direct tv delivering a perfect picture. The 2 seat dining table top, vanity sink counter, both night stands & above the fridge are tastefully done in shiny black granite w small multi color sparkles.
A very nice fabric pleated curtain adorns the window matching its dark gray of the beautiful multi colored from silver to ebony geometric print in the year round lightweight bedspread. Ample size new refrigerators and instant hot water in my bathroom sink! Shower has spray & massage setting shower head w plenty of water pressure. The parking lot is well lit with all exterior lighting coming on approx. 5:00 p.m. before it’s dark. Laundry only $2 to wash & $2 to dry & a microwave for guests also just outside the front office. Vehicle parking for disabled & easy wheelchair access to all first floor rooms. Did I mention that the deposit is only $60!? The front desk managing staff is quick, efficient & friendly. The housekeepers smile & work quietly not slamming doors, etc.
Try the Welcome Inn and see if you don’t feel welcome. I did!
I guess it's a moment of you get what you pay for. Location was OK. Parking was OK. Walked in to a not so pleasant smell. Pillows were flat. TV was outdated. TV remote battery cover missing, covered with tape which i had to press the batteries down to change the channel. Bathroom knob broken. Shower head so dirty water sprayed in every which way possible. Won't be my 1st choice next time when we're in town.
