Joshua Creek Ranch IS the essence of Hill Country! Gushing, meandering creeks and rivers, majestic limestone outcroppings, water oaks and willow trees. Plus a comfortable room overlooking the hollow. All the sights and sounds of Hill Country in a peaceful ranch setting.
The place is very very nice and super quiet at night. No complaints at all. The staff is great! Wish we could swim in the creek but we couldn't due to the low levels. Hopefully we will be able to on our next stay. Didnt get to do any shooting but there will be other opportunities.
The property was fine....room was fine... the location was perfect for what I wanted.... the staff ....well the concept of hospitality was lacking. First, I called and asked about a slightly early checkin, and was told no because of how busy they were. When I got there, well they clearly were not busy. That I could have overlooked, but when I arrived at the property at the proper time, it was hard to understand where to check in. So I called, and they immediately put me on hold, and then after sitting for 10 minutes, hung up on me. So finally I found a sign that stated check in a the "pro shop" which was at the back of the property. I went there, no cars in the parking lot, no one in the pro shop, so know reason to put me on hold and then hang up. When I went to check in, I said nothing about any of this, just asked for my room. The lady was very put out about helping me, she showed me where to go on a map, but when I asked her about where we were on the map, she was really put out. And then she couldn't figure it out and got more put out. She didn't know what building she was in, on HER OWN MAP. So I had to just drive around to find the rooms. And as I was walking out the door, she yelled at me that if I wanted to eat at the property , it would take a reservation.... I said, not to worry about that.
Our stay was amazing! If you are looking for a quite place for a getaway, this is your place! Beautiful country, lots of wildlife, the facilities was very nice and the staff was friendly. Will definitely be going back this summer. Would recommend to anyone!!
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the outdoor area was amazingly clean and comfortable. Nice fires on the patio and beautiful views.

Hunters or boys get away
This is a beautiful hunters ranch. What i din't realize is that there is no one at the reception past 7pm. You have to call and they will give you directions on where to pick up your key. The good thing is all the rooms have names but getting there after dark can be frustrating. You have to make reservations for food. The king bed we booked were two doublebeds joined together so there was a gap between both beds. The outside amenities were great especially the river flowing by and bonfire. This is definitely a hunters or guys type of a trip. Great folks and very helpful.

The room was extremely small; no counter space for toiletries. I thought it included breakfast. Very expensive to sleep in a closet
