Few concerns: Dishwasher was not available. It's available only in the website. Bath tub was too high. Maybe, hard for elderly. Kitchen drawer (inside) not properly cleaned. (Only one drawer found with some dirt) Plus points: Early check-in arranged upon request. Very quiet place with comfortable rooms.

We loved the size of the unit and the covered deck off the living room. We were happily surprised by a half bathroom that wasn't in the description. We left our windows open at night to hear the frogs singing, which was so lovely. Self check in was easy, parking was available right outside our unit. Location is great, with just a short drive into the town centre or the Grocery store (Country Grocer is awesome and just 5 min away.) Our cottage was pretty nice, but a little bit tired. The decor could just use a bit of a freshen up! Some suggestions that would have made our stay even better...new frying pans and kitchen utensils (they were well and truly loved), a bigger coffee maker, face cloths in the bathrooms, extra blankets, and a bin to hold recycling. Minor stuff. Overall, this is a nice place to kick up your feet and relax.

Everything was exceptional. Only reason for not all 5stars is we reached out to request a late checkout and never heard back . Overall the property and cabin were really good though!

The location was great, staff are friendly, the cabins are nice and comfortable, and they very kindly had our room ready when we arrived to the Salt Spring Island earlier than expected (3pm)… but unfortunately the cleanliness of the cabin needs a lot of work.

The cottage design was beyond expectation,,was clean but we left it cleaner, lower bedroom sheets had aweful staining that should never been on the bed, we received replacement sheets promply. It was new years and the fireplace would not work and the request for help was ignored,or didn't get passed on from the lady that dropped off the new sheets. Also, we were not informed there was no access to the dock because it was sunk, that access was 50% of the reason for booking.

We found the noise transfer from the main floor to the ground level quite pronounced . Tried several times to light the outdoor firepit only to be told that it wasn’t allowed for renters. The downstairs bedroom had a large t.v however there was no cable only streaming services . The fireplace in the living room didn’t operate despite trying several times . There was a dvd remote and lots of dvds but no dvd player. Disappointed in this unit , the complex setting is quite beautiful .

Pros and Cons Pros: Spacious, multi-level layout with plenty of room for four. Peaceful lakeside setting, close to Ganges, and surrounded by songbirds — very tranquil overall. Cons: Although this is a mid-range property, the furnishings feel dated and the overall cleanliness could be better. Staff were generally responsive, but I was taken aback when they laughed after I mentioned that my husband had fallen — quite hard — while carrying our dinner, which ended up scattered across the front yard. The fall was caused by a sizeable, hidden hole in the grass beside the pathway that’s clearly worn from regular use between the parking spot and the front door. When I told the manager, she brushed it off, saying she’d fallen in the same hole herself. If it’s a known hazard, why hasn’t it been fixed? That really speaks to the level of care and attention at this property. Overall: Would I stay there again? Not likely.
