The position of the hotel is excellent for tram links , town centre, and Leigh Arms.,The hotel for the boys is an excellent price if you just want a bed to lie and a shower scenario. The shower could have been more powerful. The welcome was very friendly and informative. The boys and I will use the hotel again to travel to the Grandfinal at Old Trafford.

Staff were lovely. I don’t recommend staying here when it is hot, the room was like a sauna all day and night and the windows brought no relief. There were shops nearby to get a fan, but that would just blow hot air around! Other than that, a wonderful stay

We attended Parklife and the receptionist let us extend our parking for 12 hours for free. This saved us around £30 we would have had to pay for another local car park like Q park.

Basic but clean

Hotel is well-sited for Metrolink & various eateries nearby. Room was basic but clean & large enough. The only downside was the extreme noise from within the hotel with thin walls allowing audible chatter at 2am.

Not bad good value

Hotel is dated and a bit tired but not to the extent of some of the reviews. We had a very comfortable stay and the staff were very friendly. They went out of their way to help. Very reasonable prices!

Not so bad as you might believe

Not as bad as some the recent reviews. It has been refurbed and newly painted, shower was fine. For £50 it was OK. DId not try breakfast - Spoons is a minutes walk away.

This hotel is in serious need of an extensive make-over. The car park is difficult to access via an overgrown, narrow drive that is also overgrown. Kerbside appeal is poor and the entrance appears to be propped up by scaffolding! Disabled access is non-existent and not sure how the hotel managed to meet local authority safety requirements. At my request, I was allocated a downstairs room which had recently been re-carpeted, but there was no explanation of room facilities (eg available TV channels, etc). I was unable to use the en-suite shower as there was a foul smell coming from the drain which meant that I had to leave the extraction fan all day and night (I think this property has a serious drains problem). Sure it is situated in a central location, but if you arrive by car, that is of little interest. I think the photos on the website are years out of date and rest assured I won't be staying in this hotel again.
