  • Hitsujiyama Park (羊山公園) in Chichibu has an amazing field of Shiba-zakura, or moss phlox. There are nine different types of moss phlox that cover over 17,000 sqm (4.3 acres) of the park. Not only is the scenery amazing, you can enjoy the sweet scent in the air as well! *They are usually in full bloom from late April to the first week of May. *The closest station is Yokoze Station or Seibu Chichibu Station on the Seibu Chichibu Line. There is an extremely steep hill on the way from Seibu Chichibu Station so if you're not up for that or have senior citizens in your party, definitely go from Yokoze Station. It's about 1.5 to 2hrs from Tokyo.

Excellent food and wheelchair friendly

Super friendly staff everywhere. We were there with a wheelchair bound family member, and really appreciated that almost the entire place is very wheelchair friendly. The only exception was the public bath. Excellent dinner and breakfast; my Japanese family members were impressed too.

快適に過ごさせていただきました

露天風呂付き客室、朝食のみのプランでしたが 全体的には、快適に過ごさせていただきました。 【良かった点】 接客いただいたみなさん、丁寧で感じが良かった。 ウェルカムドリンクがあったこと。 客室のお布団は、コロナ対策ということでチェックイン時に既に敷いていた。 客室アメニティが充実していた。 10枚入り？の除菌シートも置いてあったので、出先で使わせていただきました。 バスタオル、浴衣も2セット/人ずつあったので、寝起きのシワシワの浴衣から着替えて朝食会場に行けたり、朝風呂用のタオルを使えたのが良かった。 朝食のハムエッグやお魚を温めて食べることができ、美味しかった。 【気になった点】 客室の下駄箱の上の絵が、額の中でずれていた。 夜9時ごろの大浴場の足ふきマットがびしょ濡れだった(人の出入りが多い時間だからしょうがないですが)。 露天風呂付客室でしたが、早朝に隣の部屋がお風呂に出入りする音が響いて目が覚めてしまった。

また行きたい！

ゆったりまったりしたかったので、露天風呂付客室のリバービューのお部屋を選びました。 新館のようで、建物自体綺麗でした。 2人で泊まるのが贅沢なほどお部屋が広く、布団も寝心地が良くぐっすり眠れました。 寝る場所と居間？が、ローフスクリーンで仕切れようになっていて、とても素敵な気遣いだと思いました。 客室と駐車場が近いのですが、朝、露天風呂に入っている際に駐車場か別の部屋のテラスから、タバコの臭いがしてきたので、少し残念でした。 今回はアクティブに外で夕飯を食べましたが、お夕飯が美味しいという口コミも拝見したので、次回はもっと客室での滞在時間を長く取ろうと思います。 客室の各所の手描きポップなども心が篭もっていて素敵でした。 ありがとうございます！

コロナの影響もあるかと思ったところ、反して満室でした。5階の6畳部屋が運良く予約できたのですが、外の景観もよく大変いい部屋でした。食事も部屋食、懐石のコースに満足。浴場も天然温泉、露天付き。スタップの対応もよく大変満足しました。すべて最高点です。また、予約したい旅館です。

スタッフの対応は良かったです。 夕飯朝食ともにおいしいですが、量が多いです。 客室にある露天風呂は温泉ではありません。 川を挟んで向かい側の家から、こちらが見えてしまうのではないかと不安になりました。冬場なので目立ったのかなと思いますが。 また泊まりたいと思います。

It is the best hotel of our trip. Beautiful clean and nice hotel. The service is excellent. The day we stayed was my Son's birthday, and they prepared a nice gift to our son on short notice. Excellent traditional Japanese hotel experience

Excellent traditional Japanese hotel experience. All the staff are kind and helpful. The Japanese breakfast is good in quality which surprised us. Our room was equipped with private open air bath which is a good option if you wish stay in private and enjoy the gift from natural at the same time.
