"Clean room and bathrooms, and the free breakfast and luggage storage were great amenities as well. Would absolutely recommend for a short term stay in Shinjuku."

"Amazing stay at this property! The property was clean, simple, and very convenient as it was merely a 5 minute walk to the nearest train station. The owner of the business personally took the time and effort to make our stay as enjoyable and accommodating. Breakfast was provided and there were plenty of restaurants and convenient stores nearby. The genuine hospitality and friendliness of the owner himself truly made this experience personable and one of kind. We definitely will recommend this...

"Room is great although the heating is not powerful enough to warm up the room on a cold day (5 Celsius degrees here), except that super friendly staff "

"The hotel was very clean and the staff welcoming me very friendly. The room had a large luggage storage area and a small locker inside the bunk. The room I was in was in was on the top floor with no elevator so it was a little awkward arriving and leaving. Bunks were brand new built from wood and were a little noisy as they acted like a boom box for any neighbouring noise. Showers and toilets were perfectly clean and weren’t an issue for noise when sleeping"

"This is the nicest one star hotel I’ve ever been in. I stayed in 3 star hotels that were not as nice. Great area but a little far from a train station. Very comfortable beds. And well priced "

"Overally a great hotel in a superb location. Only an 8 minute walk from Ikebukuro station.
The dining area was great. The restaurant was always buzzing and the food and drink options were good.
The weekly share a meal with someone from another country/culture is a great idea."

"Such a great place to stay at! The room was nice and clean with plenty of space for my luggage. I really liked how the spaces were decorated too. The amount of umbrellas available for use was pretty nice too. Everyone that worked there was very nice, patient, and friendly to talk with. I hope their cafe is successful for them! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a great spot in Asakusa!"

"The room was slightly bigger than the other Japan hotels we stayed at. Def still tight though if you have a lot of luggage.
The amenities were good and we liked the bathroom. The spot is very convenient. The view from our room was nice.
We know it’s next to the red light district, but if you are from America it def doesn’t feel like that and the people standing outside have big jackets on. It’s very easy to ignore them. Plus the area has so many restaurants and people around that it kind of jus feels like they are just there."
"perfect loaction super convenient, restaurants and train station in walking distance. everything was roughly 20 mins away, shibuya being 40 mins by train which felt like nothing!"
"Excellent hotel. Close to the station, restaurants and convenience stores across the street or surrounding the stations. The breakfast restaurant had a vast variety and so even though we stayed 5 nights we didn’t tire of the food.
A major plus is that the airport bus stops at the hotel.
There are signs that the hotel is not new. But nothing major. One thing would be to have more electrical outlets near the beds and on the desk.
Make sure to get a Skytree view room. Seeing the Skytree day or night always made me happy."
