"Just pulling out La Ferme des Mares, a charming establishment that provides everything except showers and an apology or discount for providing showers. Should you decide to visit, my advice is that you check the hot water before accepting the keys so that you don't have the unhappy experience of discovering an ice cold shower upon waking the next morning. And no one at the reception to assist you until 8:30 AM when you need to check out."

"Our first time staying at a Brit Hotel. The staff, even the ones that did not speak English were extremely friendly and helpful. A special commendation to Elise who went above and beyond to help us. "So the rooms DO NOT HAVE A LIVING ROOM - Only a kitchen and two bedrooms. The place is nice and right on the beach with plenty of space and no dog restrictions. We enjoyed our time just limited space when it rained"

"I would definitely stay here again, it was such a great location to catch the ferry from Cherbourg and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We checked in quite late, around 7pm, parking and taking my dog were no problem, it was all so easy and in an incredibly impressive historical building. There is a restaurant in the hotel which we didn’t try and also quite a few other places to eat within the town. It felt very safe and quiet. "
