Great stay in St-Hilaire-de-Riez

Super stay at Hotel Vent d'Eden, hotel very close to forests and the beach, it was perfect for what we were after. Would benefit from a small fridge in the room!

A very popular hotel for sure with spacious rooms, great Wifi, and a lovely pool, jacuzzi, sun lounger area. The reception and staff were excellent and this hotel deserves its high review rating. Plenty of secure parking which is a must for me. There is a restaurant on site for continental breakfast and main meals but we did not use so not able to rate. The location means transport is required but it should be mentioned there are excellent cycle paths adjacent to the road.

Wonderful little hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The beds were really comfortable and the room was very clean. The children loved the on site pool. Would thoroughly recommend.

Great base to explore from.

Really enjoyed our stay and the hotel is a good base for exploring the region. The rooms were serviced daily and cleanliness was to a high standard. It was nice to come back in the evening and take a dip in the pool.

Very nice clean and comfortable property. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Restaurant food was excellent and well priced. A 2 minute drive takes you to a small town where you will find more restaurants and a small supermarket which sells the most expensive water in the world but there is a bigger supermarket further along. Would definitely recommend this hotel and the only suggestion I would have is for a small fridge in the room.

Declining quality?

I'd already been there twice before and was completely satisfied. But this time I was very disappointed. It started with the fact that my credit card had already been charged the morning before my arrival. Then, unlike my previous visit, I was given a very, very small room, even though I had requested the same room. Finally, the quality of the food in the restaurant had also been downgraded. The most positive thing was the very friendly lady at the reception who even went out of her way to place me in a slightly better room.

Disappointed by every single aspect, from the receptionist's rudeness at check in, to the uncomfortable beds, no soap in the bathroom, no fridge in rooms, everything in this hotel looked outdated.

un résidence "étape"

un séjour de 3 nuits sur le trajet du retour des vacances... une résidence à conseiller comme escale lors de longs trajets... il n'est pas simple d'accès et assez loin des activités si on veut s'eloigner de Saint Gilles Croix de Vie... les Sables d'olonnes sont 45 min pour 32kms... la chambre mérite quelques aménagements... l'absence de voilage ou d'un film occultant necessite de fermer les rideaux en permanence de la baie vitrée d'entrée quite à vivre dans le noir ou avec la lumiere... pour 4 personnes, la surface est ideale mais les toilettes dans la salle de bain peut etre un frein... la piscine est bien aménagée... le petit dejeuner quasi obligatoire car pas de kitchenette dans les chambres est simple, classique et sans excès...

Pas enchanté par le cadre

Rien à reprocher sur le service mais le cadre n'est pas si enchanteur que les photos le laissent penser : chambres un peu sans âme avec des revêtements rappelant un hôpital, vue sur les tuyas. Plein d'activités autour mais pas toujours du meilleur goût et intégrées au paysage.

La piscine parait bien plus grande sur les images et est fortement dosée en chlore. Le pediluve n'etait pas nettoyé. Par contre le service etait top et on a apprécié notre séjour. On a pu accéder à la piscine même après avoir rendu la chambre, juste marce qu'il y avait la course tout près. C'était vraiment agréable. Lieu très calme, proche de la plage.

Het zag er allemaal heel anders uit dan op de foto. Het strand is best een behoorlijk stuk lopen. Bed was slecht heel dun matras. Airco deed t wel maar was lastig te bedienen en maakte veel lawaai.
