Everything was great, staff friendly. The only issue was immediately following the booking of our reservation, we received an email from the hotel stating that renovation was going on and the view from our room would be blocked due to the scaffolding. The room was very nice, equipped with a kitchen. The cafe on the first floor made wonderful drinks and good sandwiches.

Grand Base Urakami
Quiet location, choice of 2 tram stops and a train station. Food shops close by. Room was very clean. Would be good to have a tea towel in the kitchen area to dry dishes, we used a small towel instead. Don't like the unmanned check-in process though.
