「We were really disappointed with our stay. Staff were very unhelpful. Hallways not clean. Given a room with a view of garbage cans and gas tanks. Another guest arrived on a red eye at 10 am and was told her room would not be ready until 2pm! Far from airport. Very limited ameneties, not even conditioner or enough towels. Will not stay here again 」

The rest Taxi is not $4 like the hotel stated from the airport to here. It’s $10 or more, I got them to bring it down to $10. 「Hotel El Guarco rooms were very clean & comfortable. Staff were very helpful & kind. The linens & towels were so white & had a lovely clean fragrance. The incuded breakfasts wre truly amazing & presentation was impeccable! We could walk to numerous other retaurants or fast food establishments for dinner meals. 「This hotel was amazing, first we had done 2 different reservations (we added a night after), the second night we booked was a suite and the receptionist put us both nights in the suite which we really appreciated of him. Then the room was very clean and all what you need was present. The breakfast was very tasty, the buffet had enough options. A clear safe choice for a starting point in Costa Rica! 」

「I chose this place because the reviews were exceptionally good. I arrived and noticed there are no space to park on the street. You will have to move the car to the sidewalk. This is a large house that was converted to hostel. Average decorations with books and stuff are just placed at random place. Two people opened my room door and didn’t apologize. Toilet didn’t flush.
