The Royal Esplanade was the perfect spot for our stay in Ryde. It is just across from the main bus transfer spot to get the Breezer and Coastal buses. It is clean and has an excellent cooked breakfast included with the rooms. I will stay there again when we return to Ryde.

The staff were amazing and the room was very clean. The view from the room was amazing. The only fault I could give was the WiFi was very inconsistent. Sometimes it was adequate other times I couldn’t get any signal and I wouldn’t be able to stream on the lowest settings without it buffering constantly.

An island icon that needs some updating for sure. The rooms are very basic and small, and it feels more like a dorm set up than a proper hotel. Having said that the staff were lovely and Harry’s bar is as awesome as ever.

The staffs were friendly and accommodating. The room was really clean and they replenish basic things everyday like tissue, shampoo and coffee. The only issue is the wifi that is not working or maybe cannot reach our room. Plus there is no good signal in the room where we were staying.

Staff are good but property is old. Hence they are limited to do any improvements. Hence no WiFi in rooms and our TV in room was not working when we checked. Got a replacement which was so small TV. So no entertainment and there is a pub nearby which is very noisy at night.
