This place was very noisy. We arrived one day later after we paid for six days, we spent five days due to flight delays. They never gave us orientation of the property. We had to find our way around and strangers and workers gave us guidance. The front desk staff never mentioned anything to us. We missed out on so many things because we did not know. We called the concierge four times, because when we checked in there was a leaking sink which was very dangerous to me. Was scared to walk around because of fear that I might slip and fall. We notified them four times, and each visit by the maintenance man wasn’t fixed. In the end we left it alone, and just dealt with it by not using the leaking sink. I am very disappointed the way we were treated, and I hope they refund is for the one less day that we did not spend at the facility.

Our first stay at a Bahia Principe property was absolutely FABULOUS! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmth from the sun AND the amazing team members. Kisha was SO KIND as she invited us to the Privilege membership infosession. Marvin did an amazing job touring the club access amenities. Ricardo was such a pleasure as he showed us to our room and explained everything about our stay. Jevaughn, our bartender was very helpful serving our drinks as well. We literally feel like we can't wait to go back and visit our friends again at our home away from home. The grounds and pools were immaculately attended to and well kept. The AC worked non-stop to refresh us every time we entered our beautiful room. The food at the buffets was diverse and tasty. The a la carte experiences were just okay, but next time, we hope to try Mikado. We also loved the fact that if we felt like partying or relaxing, it was easy to find the perfect spots by the pool to fit whatever vibe we wanted at the moment. We'll DEFINITELY be back to Runaway Bay and looking forward to other Bahia location properties.

What makes this resort experience is the staff. The food was terrible. Terrible. One of the buffets on the luxury side is outdoors and the control to keep flies away is virtually nonexistent. They don’t turn the food over nearly as much as they should, especially with it outside. The taste of the food is not good at all. Knife is perhaps the best restaurant there. Picasso is decent. The hibachi restaurant was running so far behind that we did not get seated until more than an hour after our reservations and only when someone else brought it up while checking the status of his own reservation. Then we were treated like we were annoying. The waiter engaged with everyone but us. We left before dessert. Apart from that, the pictures are accurate. It is a beautiful property. The grand side has better beaches and more things to do. We did not find out about the shopping until Day 7 of our 8-day visit. Apparently, there is someone there who sells patties except for on Sundays and they sell out by noon. Apparently, the luxury side is newer (opened in 2015 or 2016, vice 2007) and the beaches are man-made. Luxury has a better gym. Do the bike tour the first day. You will learn a lot and will know where things are. Offsite, Ocho Rios is closest for excursions & you can book at the resort. Montego Bay is 1 hrs. away. Most staff are friendly and courteous, esp. Tyrese, Garfield, Andre, Ashdaine & Spicy D.

The arrival with the bellman staff was quick and soft. The pre-check-in with the front desk staff was smiles and great customer service. I really liked to towels to fresh up your ride from.the airport. Stop by the bar while my luggage waa delivery to me room.

We are picked up at 2 am and arrived at the hotel around 11. I went straight to the front desk and requested for an early check in and they told me to come back at 2 so we waited in a very hot lobby. Super tired so l came back to ask 3 times but not given a room until 4 pm.The first room the AC is sooo hot. The shower head is broken. It’s tilted on one side and water is only coming out from the tilted side. The faucet was spraying water all around and after 4 days when l came back at 10 in the evening the smell of a rotten animal was sooo strong and wasn’t able to sleep the whole night. I called them and nobody came. The next day l talked to the manager and was given a room in the main building and l was happy coz the room seems to work out fine. We sleep two nights in that room and we woke up around 5 am to be picked up at 7 am to the airport. My husband opens the faucet and all hell broke loose. The smelly water came out gushing and the the steam filled up the whole bathroom. I called screaming emergency and a woman answer but nobody came for 20 minutes and it’s good we already packed so we grabbed everything and went downstairs to use the bathroom next to the check in counter and there was a mam and l told him everything.The experience was sooo horrible that I WANT A REFUND FOR MY MONEY. I was trying to be patient but it’s one situation after another and like 80 percent of the staff are not nice.

Hotel is nice and staff is very friendly. However, be aware that this resort is HUGE and you will do a fair bit of walking. For example, it was a good 10 minute walk from our room to the breakfast buffet every morning. Not a deal breaker but something to consider. The beach is fantastic and the entertainment options were good too.
