Staff was very nice and accommodating with early check in and allowing us to keep our bags at reception at check out, so we could enjoy the town. They provided a wine tasting and very helpful recommendations.

We stayed here 2 nights after a day cruise from Koblenz, the hotel is in an excellent location, our room was across the street from the main building on the first floor, there was an outdoor patio to sit at, drink wine and watch people walk by, we ate breakfast and lunch in the restaurant and both meals were very good. This is a great place to stay in Rudesheim , close to everything

Perfect!
Enjoyed our stay very much! The staff are all very welcoming, helpful, and friendly! Check in was easy and with a glass of wine :) Our beds were comfortable and our room was clean (during these COVID times, it was CLEAN and we were thankful!) The hotel is just on the edge of the "busy" area in town and so easy to get around. We ate dinner in the restaurant (YUM!) and breakfast was also good (and the area was kept VERY clean!). We parked in the city lot about a block away for €4, no problems at all. We will return to Ruedesheim AND this hotel!

We stayed there in Sept.. It was supposed to be for 2 nights, but we decided to check out at 5pm on the second day as we could not handle spending another night in a dirty, run down room. The room was not at all like the pictures on the website. On both nightstands, the light bulbs weren't screwed in. The floor, (ceramic tile), had dirt on it. After walking around the room (and bathroom), when I looked at the bottom of my feet, there was dirt all over them! I ended up sleeping with socks on. There were cobwebs around the heating unit and the TV. I could not get the TV to work (picture, no sound), I reached up to turn off the receiver (couldn't turn it off via remote). The receiver looked as though it had never been dusted. The shower was another story. The caulk needed to be replaced as it was black from mold and mildew. There were only 2 towels and and 2 hand towels. No washcloths. The room had a very musty/damp smell to it. We felt as though we were sleeping in a basement. The curtains/draperies were another disaster. The one curtain, when trying to close it, didn't even cover the window. The other curtain was falling off the curtain rod. I mentioned this to the front desk - asking them to fix it. But they did nothing. They advertise that they have free WiFi in the rooms,but it never worked. This was my worst experience ever. No wonder this was the only hotel available for our dates.

Well enjoyed our stay but our room was very disappointing. I meant to take a photo of the room. It was ridiculous. You could hardly walk around the bed. My friend was on her own a got a huge room . The shower flooded every time you showered . Nice place other than that

Excellent food and wine! A complimentary glass of wine on arrival. Saturday's breakfast buffet had the best croissants I've ever had. (Not available on the Friday I was there.) They provide some 5% discounts for bike rental and cable car. A free wine tasting (sadly I didn't partake). Can be noisy and hot. Bad pillows.

Location was great, walkable into town, rooms were a bit outdated and the bathroom was very small. The restaurant in the hotel had a nice patio and the food was good. For the price, I would definitely recommend it for the location alone.

The hotel and restaurant were quite nice. Unfortunately, the first day hit over 100F, so it was quite uncomfortable. The hotel had a nice location in the town, and overall the trip was very good.

Nice Hotel good value for the Price. We stayed the wing across the Street under the roof, there is no AC and it was quiet warm. With the window open we did sleep well, however it was not hot summer yet. Good breakfast buffet and friendly staff. Great location near all the attractions, we enjoyed our stay in Grünen Kranz Hotel.

The location was great for staying in the city. We knew it was a very old building but our room seemed a little run down. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful, the check-out guy was sarcastic and a little rude. We were under the impression that the parking was free. Not so, it costs 10 Euro a day and you can come and go as you please. We would have been OK with this if we had known. He laughed at us and said you booked a room not a place to park. They served a tremendous breakfast every morning.

The room key to our original room did not open the door. The hotel offered us another room but did not have a tub like our original room was supposed to. The hotel did find us a room with a tub but the wifi did not reach the room. The staff was friendly and helpful

Christmas Market stay
Location is great for the Christmas Market. Its very close to the town parking lot so its not too burdensome getting luggage from the vehicle to the hotel. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good. WiFi worked the first night there but was spotty service after that. The room had a funky odor that seemed to be coming from a bathroom fixture drain. Reminded me of the odor one gets when a u-shaped connector is missed when a drain was installed. But, overall, the place was a nice place to stay.

Close to Drosselgasse
Nice clean, if a bit cozy, room for three. Smallish but adequate bathroom. Great breakfast with a large selection and fresh, warm from the oven, bread. Just a few minutes to walk to Drosselgasse and other attractions. Lots of restaurants nearby or eat at the hotel. Complimentary glass of the house wine on arrival was a nice touch.

great location, poor access, parking far and twice cost advertised. small bathroom/shower, shower had slow drain, headboard elec. outlets did not work, t.v. not plugged in, plug 7-8 ft in the air, only 1 bathtowel and 2 handtowels. quiet, easy walking around town, great breakfast so...minor problems but enjoyed our stay.

This was a 'cute' hotel. However the overall experience was somewhat very average. The room was very small. There wasn't linen on the bed as such, just a rough material covering that seemed unclean. Asked for an extra pillow twice as my partner needed it to make sleeping easier but no staff provided anything. When I asked about this the reply was 'was not me I wasn't on duty yesterday'. The team spirit doesn't exist!

We hadn't expected much from a listed, historic hotel in Rüdesheim under €100....and we couldn't have been more wrong. Greeted with wine and a cool seat on arrival, our English-speaking host then helped us garage our bikes and carry our heavy loads to our room. While not large, our room had expansive views over the town and river, was comfortably and thoughtfully furnished, and was both bright and airy. Small extras like a fan were much appreciated, as were a great shower-bath, really comfortable beds, multiple power points and a desk. The buffet breakfast was terrific. We think this hotel is outstanding value in a town known for kitsch and high prices, and recommend it without reservation.

1-Absolutely no parking by hotel 2- to drop of luggage, you have to master narrow street, reverse & find a city parking lot at €10 per night 3- Owner not extremely friendly, but son is super 4- Simple but clean rooms 5- In-house restaurant & own vineyard wine selection great! I will stay elsewhere next time!

Overall, it was a great stay. 10 Euro/day was the cheapest parking available. We were not able to get breakfast, as the staff was not in when we left at 7 AM, so that was unfortunate.

Loved it.
We wanted a place not too far from the Frankfurt airport to deal with jet lag for a couple of days while also having access to a boat trip on the Rhine. This was perfect. The room was nice, we were welcomed with a glass of champagne while our registration was completed. Parking was close and at a nominal cost. We were helped to get the details on a river cruise and had a great dinner although it was far too abundant. Breakfast was very good and substantial. It was a delightful place to spend a couple of days. We loved it.

Good location, clean room. Hotel gave you a welcoming glass of wine upon arrival (which was a pleasant surprise after climbing up the hill to get to to the hotel). The reason I didn't give it a 4 rating is the room was not well ventilated and was quite stuffy. You can open the windows but it can can get noisy at night.

My major complaint was the cleanliness of the room. The carpet had not been vacuumed. There was white dog hair all over it. The red couch had a stain on it that looked like something was spilled and not cleaned up. Just left to dry. These issues made me feel the room had not been cleaned in other areas either that were not visible. Cleanliness is a BIG issue for most travelers!!

Historic Hotel
This is a beautiful and charming hotel in the heart of this quaint historic Rhine River Vallel village. If they could just secure some closer parking!! But would stay there again - no question!

Super excellent location with very good and cheap parking up the hill. The staff was really awesome and super nice. I would stay again without a doubt. Clean small rooms with cute character. I would prefer all white bedding though. Nice big window to let in lots of clean air. Breakfast was really good with enough selection.

A diamond to be found
Love this place. I found it on Travelocity and liked the reviews. We thought we would give it a try for our first trip to Rüdeseim Em Rhein. The room was not air conditioned so it was freakin hot but I don't believe any of the hotels have AC in this area. Unless you spend twice as much that is. The hotel is located in a wonderful location, away from the train tracks but close to everything. The vineyards behind are fantastic and the wine tours they provide are very nice. You get a discount for the wine store across the street and the wine is fantastic. The room was pretty spacious for rooms in Europe, and the bathroom was excellent. The staff is very nice and the manager has a good, but dry sense of humor. The food was excellent as well. The included breakfast was very well done as well.

Room was OK. Very small TV. The bottom 'sheet' on the bed was something like terry cloth instead of linen, not bad, but different. The hotel is right in the middle of town and was difficult to find. The streets were narrow and the portions of them are pedestrian only. The parking for the hotel was at a public parking lot about 100 yards away.
