「Close to visitor center (where the bus stopped). Owner is nice and proactive contact guest b4 arrival. No breakfast provided (which seems to be the norm for NZ hostel) but u can find food nearby. 」

「Room looked like it had been recently renovated. Everything was clean and tidy and it was very nice having an adjustable wall heater in the room. Person who showed me around was very friendly and helped answer my questions about the snow fields. The room is not very soundproof so could hear people coming and going to kitchen until quite late into the evening. Also the shared toilet ran out of toiletpaper and there was no one to easily ask for replacement. Overall good place to stay for one...

「We were extremely disappointed to be confronted with a run down house which was badly in need of maintenance and nothing like the photos on the website. Tired after driving thirteen hours we viewed the room and facilities, Room was tiny and bed/bedding very worn, barely room to get around the bed, door was locked with a dead lock and on the outer of the door was a patch of black board paint with our surname written in chalk.
