The rooms are set away from the reception area and you have to go down gravel steps. I’m pretty young and ok with it, but my 66-year-old mom struggled. So be prepared for that. "This is a hidden gem in Portofino. The hotel offers a hidden pathway to the heart of Portofino, which can be reached in approximately five minutes on foot. You will understand how important it is once you become familiar with the area. The main road is narrow and hard to walk on, so the path comes in super handy. The hotel also has access to the hidden beach, which you can barely see from the road. Absolutely breathtaking. Hotel staff are friendly and courteous. Although the breakfast hall is small, the food and the service are great. There is a 40 Euro parking fee per day, so count that into account if you are arriving by car."
