Kein Zugangscode, kein Ansprechpartner

Man braucht einen Code für den Zugang. Den haben wir nicht erhalten. Soweit, so gut. Das kann ja passieren. Aber vor Ort war niemand erreichbar. Also keine Chance, in das Hotel zu kommen. Mussten uns dann ein neues Hotel suchen. Ziemlich unproffesionell. Nie wieder!

Terrible experience and awful service.

Arrived at the hotel to find we couldn't get in. No instructions emailed to us. Went online and found previous reviews and comments that said to go to no.92 to get code to unlock door. No-one knew anything at no.92 and a guy who worked in the shop next door said that there had been problems recently. Tried calling hotels.com and the owner direct. No response. Emailed them. Hotel.com wouldn't help. We couldn't get in and had to go elsewhere. Now hotel.com refusing to refund the money. It was a disaster. And overall I'll never use hotel.com again. Appalling service.

Pity. room is so nice.....

Hotel facility is great.and cleaning stuff are so kind. But Daniel hotel manager is fxxcking arrogant and try to text message about important topic.Even calling my side,try to avoid to talk. And never send me invoice which i asked more than 3times. I was kicked out morning which he said check out is 11 which is 12 at website. typical arrogant dutch business.

A great bargain hotel.

Truly a "small hotel" with 6 rooms, no lobby, and entry from a street door, but wonderful, clean, comfortable, and modern large rooms. A great accommodation with no frills.

Hipster gatans lilla hotell med stora rum

Rotterdam är toppen, hotellet låg bra till på en gata som var livlig med kultur, barer, bra butiker och restauranger. Vårt rum var stort och hade skön säng. Vi hade problem med incheckningen då ordinarie personal var på semester och en vikarie skötte den receptionsfria incheckningen. Vilket gjorde att vi inte fått de koder man behöver för att komma in. Men väl inne var allt toppen!

Beautiful room; no lifts & a little noisy

Very large beautifully decorated rooms. The location is both great in terms of its proximity to museums and eateries as well as annoyingly noisy (all night) as it is right snack above a busy road with pubs and bars. There are no lifts too so it's only great for those who pack light. Other than these issues, the hotel has actually very beautiful and large rooms. Great food and museums nearby.

Grote kamers goed bed, bovenop het uitgaansleven.

Leuke kamers, aanrader indien je dichtbij centrum Rotterdam wilt zitten, ontbijt in de straat op 50 meter van hotel, prima!

Good location, but inconsistent hotel

Indeed a small but centrally located hotel. Room was adequate, but steep stairway provides only access. Strange breakfast arrangements. Table and cutlery povided, but essentially no dishwashing facilities, and no instructions as to what was expected of guests. We cleaned dishes in bathroom sink, but sometimes staff would replace dishes. No clear instructions in room manual. Phone alluded to but no telephone in room, so reception could not be easily contacted unless you had a phone, as reception is situated elsewhere. Overall the facilities were clean and adequate but more was expected.

Loved A Small Hotel

We had a great experience at A Small Hotel. The location is perfect for walking, cycling, restaurants, near transport etc. 15 minute walk from Central Station and 20 minute cab ride from the airport. Herman the owner let us check in early as we'd arrived very early in Rotterdam, which was fabulous. The room was big, quiet and comfortable.

Liten på utsidan, stor på insidan.

A Small Hotell är liten och inte som dem hotel du kanske känner. Ingen reception, frukostrum eller bar. Men stora rum i hög kvalité, med allt du behöver och i Rotterdams trevligaste gata med caféer och små och stora restauranger. Inte långt från central stationen och många museer. Bra om du vill något särskilt med egen stil. Förutsättning är att du inte har problem med att ta trappor.

Very nice hotel with deceptively large and comfortable room after negotiating digital concierge and very steep stairs up 2 floors. Helpful actual concierge quickly fixed lock. Lively street but interesting.

ロッテルダムに住んでいる気分を味わいたければ・・・？

あまり良く調べずホテルかと思って予約をしたら、ホテルではありませんでした。忙しかったので詳細を読まず、更にこちらの宿泊先からの連絡メールを見落としていて、そのおかげでチェックイン時に少し面倒でしたが、最終的には泊ってとても良かったです。こちらはフラット(全6室)の部屋を全てホテルとして貸し出しています。基本的には人が居住用に借りて住むところなので、いわゆるフロントはありません。なので、ロッテルダムのお洒落なワンルームマンションに住んだらこんな感じ、みたいな1人暮らし（あるいは2人暮らし）気分を味わいたい方には良いかもしれません(キッチン無)。予約をすると、メールで、 ①フラット入口ドア横にある4桁の暗証番号、 ②階段を登ったところにある各部屋のキーボックスの暗証番号、 ③Wifiのコード　が送られてきます。忘れずにこちらを控えておいて予約した部屋に入れば、後はカードキーで毎回入退室をするので何も問題ありません。暗証番号を使うのは初回だけです。チェックアウト時はキーを取り出したボックスに返却するのみです。フロントが無いので、何か問題があった時にオーナーに電話をしなければならないのが難点です。（入口階段脇にある電話は消防連絡用です）ですがそれ以外は、立地もかなり良く、ロッテルダムの丁度中心部にあり、駅から１０分～１５分くらいの距離で、このフラットがある通りはとにかく沢山の洒落たレストランやバー、お店やギャラリー等がありそれも楽しめると思います。ここから駅に戻るくらいの同じ距離（反対方向）にキンデルダイク行のボートの発着所があります。１フロアに２部屋しかないので他の部屋は分かりませんが、私が泊った部屋の位置の部屋であれば広さ３５㎡から４０㎡くらいで、部屋にあるアメニティや冷蔵庫内のワイン、お水、コーヒー(Nespresso）は全て料金に含まれていました。大きな窓が２つあり、とても快適に過ごせました。機会があれば、また別の部屋にも泊ってみたいです。

A great small hotel in central Rotterdam

A Small Hotel in Rotterdam is indeed small - just two rooms on three floors - but the rooms were enormous, by general standards in Holland. A particular bonus was two very comfortable armchairs and a refrigerator with complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks. A Nespresso machine with capsules is also supplied. The location is perfect on Witte de With Straat, 10 mins to the station or down to Veerhaven on the river, 15 to the new Central Market - fabulous on a Saturday. The hotel is very central - we walked everywhere. Our host was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel

Spacious and nice area

Had a pleasant stay - very spacious and comfortable room. The area is very nice with many restaurants and trendy bars. No problems with the fact that there were no reception. It was very easy to check in.

Felt like home

A Small Hotel is a real gem. Fabulous rooms, comfy beds, brilliant pillows. Zen One is the best room, very spacious, with room for entertaining friends, even! And location wise, the hotel is on the best street in Rotterdam. We will go back again and again.

Suprised, and disapointed

I was not prepared to arrive in a hotel with no host and this is probably the reason for my disappointment. I go to hotels to be able to ask around for questions about the surroundings and to appreciate the common areas for the atmosphere they set. This hotel has no reception desk and you are greeted upon arrival by a safe with your room's keys inside at the top of a (steep) staircase. If you chose a room with garden view, don't expect any garden to be accessible. The room is thoroughly equipped and clean, however my mattress was a bit run down.

Leuk, maar ramen dicht.

Prima grote kamer met alles er op en er aan. Het cocomat bed biedt echter geen enkel comfort voor de verwende mens. Hard, stug en spierpijnverwekkend. Het hotel ligt in een super leuke straat, met bijbehorende herrie. Zaterdag op zondag tot half zeven 's ochtends lawaai van de straat en het terras (in maart!). Raam dicht helpt, maar dat vinden we niet lekker slapen (er is ook airco). Voordeel is wel dat je midden in de nacht nog een biertje kunt drinken op paar meter van de voordeur. Hotel heeft geen receptie, dat werkt prima. Ontbijt kan wel op tien plekken in de straat en dat heeft sowieso mijn voorkeur ten opzichte van ontbijt in een hotel. Dus leuk, maar ramen dicht.

Couldn't fault it. A failure of mine to take any of the information didn't lead to any problems as they were so helpful too. Very much recommended, coco one was the room I stayed in. Nice place to stay after the comparative chaos of Amsterdam.
