Great location! Room was clean and the breakfast staff was very attentive. The kiosk check in was a new experience for me. It was okay but prefer a front desk welcome.

Great location and great deal. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming and the insistence of staff to have everyone eating breakfast in one small room when a much larger room was clearly available, made the experience claustrophobic.

We are world travelers and this is a must visit town. Excellent location, breakfast and host. Nice room. Check in is in a barren room in front at what looked like an ATM.

Hotel Hocher was great. It is a no muss no, fuss hotel. Easy parking, automated check in, clean and comfortable rooms. You interact with the lovely staff at breakfast in the dining room. Very close to the city center.

This was a great location for exploring Rothenburg’s walled historic town. Basic but very clean and tidy room & bathroom with a simple self check-in process.

Rooms were newly remodeled and nice, breakfast was also great. The kiosk for checking in was quite nice, I thought! The staff were friendly and kind! Would definitely recommend it here and will stay here again! Thank you!

Mike was a great host and breakfast provider when we visited for a couple nights August 2023. Beautiful walkable town we particularly enjoyed the quiet morning walks outside along the wall and down to the river part of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimedge path.

Perfect for a couple nights in a great location

Overall enjoyed my time at the hotel. The location was great and had just what I needed for a 2 night stay. The appearance inside is a bit dated but that goes with the town and it was clean and comfortable. The fan in the room was a nice touch. Breakfast was good and the staff were very nice and friendly! Would book again if in Rothenburg in the future.

Quiet, convenient place inside Oldtown

This hotel more than met our expectations! The breakfast was tasty with many options for coffee or drinks. There was cereal, bread, multiple kinds of meat and cheese, yogurt, spreads, and hot eggs available. The room was clean, updated, welcoming, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, answered any questions we had, whether in person or via email. The hotel is conveniently located within the walls, near a handful of delicious bakeries, restaurants, cafes, and the Christmas Markets. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Rothenburg ob der Tauber!

As others have said, it is an odd check-in experience. Your in a lobby with vending machines and an ATM, and do an automated check in that was straight forward and delivers your keys. The entrance is on the left side of the building outside the lobby, and you do have to climb a flight of stairs to the rooms. The place feels totally empty. But the room is clean as can be, has all the essentials, storage, windows that open for fresh air and a nice shower. And you're staying inside the Rothenberg wall! In the morning you go downstairs and see other travelers and have a lovely buffet breakfast and made to order eggs. The woman who maintains the buffet is kind and helpful, and suddenly the hotel is a welcoming place! The housekeeper was also pleasant.

The Best Ever

This place is amazing! You are required to use a kiosk to get into the hotel, which left us a little concerned prior to our stay. There is no staff present to check you in. However, When we got there, it was as easy as using an ATM. The key to my sister's room got stuck, but when we called, staff was there within 5 minutes to help us out. That was the end of any drama. Mike is the owner of the hotel and I think he got all of his training at Dick's Last Resort wher the staff picks on you at every chance they get. Mike made us laugh every morning. The breakfast was most excellent, the rooms were huge for a guest house, with plenty of storage, and everything was clean. But most importantly, the service was amazing! We left feeling like we had made a new friend. He introduced us to the entire family. He spent time chatting with us, and even purchased some mayonaise when my brother in law mentioned that he wished it had been available. Great location, great hotel, amazing Family!

Das Zimmer war ordentlich und zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Ich hatte entgegen der Beschreibung keinen Fön im Zimmer. Sonst aber alles ok! Frühstücksbuffet war in Ordnung. Lage: vom Bahnhof aus in ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Der kontaktlose Checkin war unkompliziert und hat reibungslos funktioniert.

Did not like that they gave us a bathtub as a shower, no kettle in room for coffee, no place for two luggages so if a couple is travelling with a luggage each no room for both of them. old carpeting therefore not ideal for someone with allergies and where pets are allowed very old style and dark.

Esta muy bien ubicado si llevas auto, esta perfecto porque tienen 4 lugares y muy poca gente viaja en auto, las instalaciones estan ok, con excepción de la alfombra de las escaleras de la entrada y la del corredor para las habitaciones yo las vi para cambio inmediato solo eso vi mal. Lo que vi bien fue el desayuno muy bueno para el precio ya incluido. El hotel muy bien ubicado exactamente en el casco viejo de la ciudad Medieval y amurallada la puedes recorrer toda a pie si gozas de salud plena, tambien puedes salir a callejonear las calles con toda tranquilidad y santa paz, que brinda ROTHENBURG HABITACIÓN 17 buena vista y si no te molesta un poco el ruido de la calle es la mejor
