Absolutely Unacceptable and Deeply Disappointing Experience.
I booked a room at this hotel for 2 guest from Friday to Sunday. The booking was made and confirmed at around 7:00 PM CT on the Friday. I arrived at the hotel around 2:00 AM early Saturday morning, checked into room 214, and provided the second guest full information to the front desk.
I clearly explained to the receptionist that I was one of the 2 staying guest, but I was leaving to visit my newborn son. So, I handed over the room keys and was assured—repeatedly—that the second guest would have no trouble collecting the keys upon arrival. The receptionist even wrote their name on the key envelope and placed it at the front desk.
But what followed was beyond comprehension.
When the second guest arrived, they were greeted—not with a welcome—but with the dismissive and curt statement: "We don't have any rooms available." No greeting. No inquiry. Nothing resembling hospitality.
Understandably confused, the guest went back outside to verify they were at the correct hotel. On their third attempt to explain the situation, they noticed the envelope with their name still sitting on the front desk. As soon as they pointed it out, the receptionist—who I later learned is the co-owner—tore up the envelope in front of them and declared that they would no longer honor the reservation.
They refused to let us into the room I had already checked into and paid for and refused to refund the payment. Avoid this hotel at all costs
