5 day Rome trip with friends
This property is less than 5 minutes walk from the Vatican Museum entrance and 15 minutes walk from St. Peter’s square. That’s why I picked it for my first 3 day in Rome. My room (Michelangelo) probably once was part of a larger residential flat in a typical residential building. There were 4 different rooms side by side in a longer corridor. Common area in the end of it had an excellent coffee maker, a large breakfast table, 2 cereals option and a small patio. Breakfast that was provided by the property was a typical Italian breakfast: sweet pastry, biscuits, toast, few jams, honey etc. ( Don’t expect a typical “American” breakfast such as eggs, bacon etc. This type of breakfast is not typical for Italy. 😉) My room had a small kitchen area with a stovetop, mini fridge & personal safe was also available. Very comfortable bed. Clean linens, Daily housekeeping. Federica was our main contact person and she was absolutely fantastic!! Very sweet and super easy to heal with. Hearing the various bells from Vatican every day after 8am was an added bonus. ( They can be used only at certain times and not during the night or super early in the morning 😉) I would definitely stay there again in the future. Highly recommended!!

Bed was awful——mattress thin and hard, pillows very thin too. Bed is a pull down portable bed over the couch. Great location, great staff, clean quiet, beside the Vatican wall.

A fantastic location, right across from the entrance to Vatican Museums. Easy to reach by bus and Metro. Easy instructions to get in the building. Great communication with the management team and Giuseppe.

Not a true Bed & Breakfast
Our stay was okay. The room was clean, but the shower leaked whenever we used it and it was hard to come by staff. We only saw them twice during our week stay. It’s in a more residential part of Rome, but you’ll need public transport to get to the most main attractions and the metro closed at 9pm. It’s within walking distance from the Vatican and have some great local restaurants. The reason I would say this isn’t a bed and breakfast is because there was very minimal interaction with the host and breakfast was a a basket of crackers, jam and a croissant that’s wrapped in plastic and sitting in your room until you want it. It was not a fresh breakfast. There is a self-serve coffee machine in the common area but it’s very loud. The breakfast wasn’t sufficient so we brought breakfast stuff at the grocery store (like fruit, yogurt, cereal, meat) to make it more balanced. I would stay this is a good option for someone who’s staying for a night and/or wants more of that hotel-vibe.

My family and I spent a wonderful time in Italy. Vaticano 84 was in a great location. Walking distance from most of the must sees in Rome. The service was excellent. I’m happy with my decision to stay here.

Awful
There was no one when we arrived, we called the number on the app which btw it the owners cellphone, he said there were no rooms available , he wasn’t even in the building. We called hoteles and they could helped. We had to look for another place to stay in the middle of the night .This is not a hotel it’s a building and the owners rents rooms in a apartment.

Dear Madam, as your phone shows, it was 8.39 pm. As you can easily check on our website, on Expedia's etc. our reception closes at 7 pm. After, we can check in our clients from remote, as I explained to you on the phone. I also told you that the room was available, but with a double bed, something you didn't like; reason why you answered me that you would find another place. So please don't tell untrue stories. One last thing: as it is clearly stated everywhere, we are not a hotel but a guest house. Next time try to check info better when reserving a service. Regards

Safe, quite location. Dinning and shopping is close, however through a fair amount of steps. We always noticed a nice coffee smell in the corridor and in the last minutes of our stay found out that there is a common area with a coffee machine for all occupants to use. Would have been nice if we would have been told at the start of our stay.

Central and super close to Vatican. Good touches such as a small breakfast refilled everyday. Kind staff. However, this is not a hotel, it's a B&B. As such, there is a lot of noise especially at night if people come in late. The bed is so uncomfortable too, sadly.

Very clean. They offer an Italian breakfast. Super well located. Housekeeping kept the room clean and organized. Balcony on the back of the building was amazing to spend time. Garden in from of the room was cute.

No es un hotel sino un edificio con viviendas multiples y dentro de una de ellas esta vaticano84, son pocas habitaciones, muy pegadas y se oye mucho ruido en la noche. El "desayuno " solo es un pan, una galleta, un jugo. Hay una maquina de café y un microondas d uso comunitario.La ducha es muy pequeña. Pedimos una cama doble y nos dieron 2 camas sencillas unidas con una colchoneta encima que se hundía en la mitad lo cual fue fatal para la espalda. El wifi funciona bien, la presion de agua de la ducha y el aire acondicionado también. Federica fue la persona que nos atendió, muy amable. No hay recepción ni donde guardar maletas. Por ese precio se puede conseguir un hotel real y con mejor ubicación

Stayed for 1 day. Bed sheet, pillow cases very neat and clean. Bathroom also very clean. Packaged breakfast more than enough for two. Coffee machine available so did not have to go out for coffee. close to Vatican museum - less than 5 minute walking distance. Plenty of restaurants near by. Also, host was very responsive - arranged taxi for us to the airport. Overall - highly recommend

This hotel is awesome! More like a little apartment. The host was so nice she showed us around the place and all the features before leaving us the keys. Was very clean. Three blocks away from the metro which is awesome if you are planning on visiting a lot of sights. The Vatican museum entrance is right down the block. Lots of stores and restaurants a few blocks away as well. In a nice residential area so not noisy. Highly recommend.

Elena was very nice and accommodating. There was room service every day with clean towels. There is a locked gate and a few locked doors before getting to your room so we felt very safe. It is in walking distance to two different subways and several bus stops and plenty of choices for restaurants. There is a place to buy tours a few blocks down the street. Also, it’s only a few blocks down from the entrance you take to the Vatican Tour.

Incredible location if your main interest is the Vatican. It is a bit of a walk to the nearest Hop On/Hop Off buses, but wonderful sites along the way. We didn't spend much time in the room except to sleep, and for that it served it's purpose. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Generally spacious room for 4 persons. Staff was responsive to texts. Apartment is around the Vatican City which makes it convenient. However, the biggest issue is that the showering and tap water felt soapy/oily and does not feel like clean water.

The room was large with a double bed and two twin beds. All four of us were comfortable in the room. The hosts provided snacks and juices. There was also a coffee machine in the community space. There are a number of keys to get into the place but we didn’t mind it. The place was a short walk away from the Vatican which worked out very well for the early morning tour we’d reserved. It is also close to the trains and buses.

The host was very kind and helpful. The room was enormous. The location - just a few steps away from the Vatican museums entrance, a walk distance to Metro station and one of the most important monuments - the St. Peter's Basilica. If you have a hop on hop busses tickets, you need to walk arround 20-25 minutes to their Vatican only stop, but you pass through a picturesque places, and the walk is so pleasant (Castel Sant'Angelo St-Peter's Basilica, and you can choose between a few bridges to cross the river and get the bus stop). The place is very secure, you have 4 locks - the lock of your appartment, the lock of the group of 4 apartments, the building lock & the front gate lock. So you could not be more secure.

This was a beautiful hotel, with excellent rooms and amenities. The staff is wonderful and very kind and excellent cleanness. Near to a metro station and some restaurants as well the Vatican that can be reached walking. Something that disappoint us was that the reception closes so early so you must check in very early in the afternoon or pay extra costs
