"from the time we checked in the receptionist was polite and helpful. By morning woke up to something moving seen that the headboard had bedbugs and eggs. The front desk was notified and maintenance checked out room and took pictures just as well as i did. We were not accommodated only offered a room change. The pool was filled with bugs, the furniture was dirty and stained. The towels and washcloths were stained. The toilet sat low. The tub clogged up the water didn’t drain properly. The hotel experience wasn’t great for the three nights. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. In addition the cost for the three night stay wasn’t cheap, I expected better quality room decor. I expected clean and tidy room with no dust balls under mattress. I expected the amenities such as pool to be inviting free from debris and bugs."

"The door to our room was not secure. There was a gap at the bottom and top of the door where light from the hallway was coming in. The security latch was completely broken. But it was late when we arrived and we did not have the energy to go back to the front desk to get moved. I was with my husband so I felt safe. Upon further inspection in the morning, the whole door jam and door was loose. It was coming apart from the wall. Had we noticed it was that bad the night before, we would have gone down to complain. We were in room 402."

"I checked in on 5/23. The trainee was very nice and welcoming. She was working through the check-in process smoothly with a question or two for the manager. The manager was short with her and unwelcoming to the guests — obviously hospitality is not her strength. This was the first Holiday Inn Express I felt so uncomfortable checking-in."
