It was clean but my single bed was just awful. It was on an angle to the side and it was so spongy soft that I had a sore back in the morning. The tap leaked in the bathroom and the East facing morning window was nothing more than some sliding panels with no blackout blinds. It's literally on the side of the Bruce Highway so you hear all the trucks and traffic during the night.

I’m writing this review because I don’t feel the current reviews accurately reflect the condition of the property. The host was genuinely lovely, friendly and very helpful, and the linen and towels were clean, which I appreciated. However, the motel itself is quite run down and in need of some serious maintenance. There were marks and dirt on the walls, DIY repairs and patched holes, chipped and missing sections, very tired furniture and frayed carpet throughout. There also wasn’t a proper doona provided, just a sheet with throw blankets. What was disappointing is that a lot of the issues could actually be improved quite easily. A good clean, fresh coat of paint and some basic repairs and updating would make a huge difference to the overall feel of the rooms. If you simply need somewhere to stop and rest your head for the night, it may be adequate. However, based on our experience, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for families with children.

Paid around $440 for 2 nights and the room that I got first was horrible. Toilet wasn’t cleaned and bed sheets haven’t been changed but the bed was made. The aircon in that room was out of order since 2023!! Got a change of rooms but again toilet and bathroom was dirty. Horrible smell in the room. But atleast had new sheets. Had to stay because there were not many options available in Rockhampton.
