Absolutely beautiful resort. Josh and Vianca are excellent hosts. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower was amazing. The property was fantastic with a lake close by where you can kayak and paddleboard.

The owner Josh was very nice. The property was beautiful, secluded had lots of options to entertain anyone from the lake, swimming, fishing, ATV rentals, gun range, lots of other amenities games, hot tub, fans, 2 kitchens, can rent one room and the entire property

We booked Bear Mountain Lodge for one night, but wish we could’ve stayed for more! The owner was very welcoming and friendly. He sent detailed information for our arrival and it was quick and easy. The signs posted to the lodge were helpful and clear. The lodge and our room were very clean. Our room had a separate bathroom for our room (Deer Room) and it was fine by us. The Lodge was super quiet as well despite the rooms all being booked. I do wish there were blinds to block out the light in the Deer Room aside from just curtains because the light came in around 4 am. I may have missed the blinds somehow though. We didn’t have time to use all of the great amenities, but wish we could’ve! You could use kayaks, paddle boards and more down at the lake and even rent ATVs for all of the cool trails. There’s even a hot tub. I highly recommend booking here for a relaxing vacation. We’d love to go back and experience all of the cool activities they offer. Thank you for a great stay!

The kitchen was well enough supplied with mix and match dishes,but I would not have felt comfortable making a meal there. The stove had many burners and many that did not work. I made a simple breakfast one morning for the two of us. Our host said he'd clean the dishes and pots. They were low on dish soap and paper towels. Our room, the moose room seemed to be the most luxurious. We had a Jacuzzi tub, which I used although it would not be easy for some people. Bed comfortable but high. I am very short. Need a small step stool. We liked the property, very serene and out in the country. Be prepared for gravel road

Long dirt road to get there… but worth it. Very comfortable beds. Clean. Owner extremely friendly and accommodating. Hot tub, firepit, pool table. Bathroom across the hall.

If you love adventure, rural, rustic and a homey atmosphere, this is the place for you. Enjoy hot tub, sitting around a fire and meeting new people. I would recommend bringing your own food to cook or eat before arriving, as there no near restaurants. You do share a bathroom with other guests and rooms are very basic with no TV . The place to go if you love peace and quietness.

The accommodations were very good. The lodge is a shared area set up with large common space and kitchen areas. I enjoyed the quiet. The only downside was that access to the facility way by way of 3 miles of dirt road. I suggest travelers use a high ground clearance vehicle.

This was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. I would give it a 10 if possible. The owners made you feel welcome and were very accommodating. Room and property was better than advertised! Its remote location along with a lake front on property was awesome. The fact that they had kayaks/canoes for guests to use was such a pleasant surprise. I loved just sitting in the hammock by the lake and watching the birds. My son loved kayaking on the lake. I loved not having to unload my kayak. I wish I booked a longer stay here. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a break from our busy lives.

Quiet gem in the woods

A wonderful unexpected find along our trip north on rt 1. A few miles off the main rd, paved, unpaved,paved. The owner was very pleasant and made us feel welcomed. There are 3 suites in the main lodge. Ours had a private bath down the hall. The kitchen was huge and is shared by all visitors. Bring your own food and drinks. The closest food is Eastport, Calais or Lubec. Take time to enjoy a canoe or kayak trip on the local lake, few min drive through yhe woods. The lodge was clean and well maintained and the bed was so comfortable.
