Overall, we enjoyed our stay. However, we were disappointed with one thing...our view. We booked a king oceanic view. This is not what we received. Our view was another building. Needless to say, this was disappointing. We only booked the breakfast because I wanted other options for lunch and dinner. We enjoyed having breakfast at the resort each morning, except our last day (Sunday). We were not aware that breakfast was not served on Sunday and ended up going to another resort. I was there celebrating my birthday. I truly appreciated being surprised at breakfast one morning and having my room decorated. That was a nice touch!!

Property was amazing! Right out to the beach with a restaurant on site. Restaurant is open to public so keep that in mind, gets busy at times. Water Taxi right at the water can take you to west end in about 3min to check out that area. And get a nice boat ride out of it.

Staff was friendly and wonderful. We had some problems with our hot water but they sent someone to fix it within 30 min. Expected more from the room but was clean and quiet. Hotel was very peaceful even though it was right on the beach. They kept everything from the sand to the pools very clean and sanitary. Would definitely stay again.

The property was good and everyone was very nice and helpful. It was an easy walk to the beach and the hotel organized all excretions at a very reasonable price. The food was good too! We spent all day at the beach, pool, and around the property which has a nice greenery that creates a good shade. The rooms were clean, maybe a little small and in need of repair, but truly we only went to the room to sleep. The staff was very friendly, and helpful.

The room I was given was in the corner of the villas at night time it was extremely bright and the room only had white curtains. The staff only catered and helped a curtain kind of people. I had to keep begging for a cushion to sit on a lounge chair at the beach. The gym was very old and equipment had to be old than me. I was very disappointed for the price that I paid.

Room was sparse. Shower was cold after 2 minutes. No place to set soap or shampoo. Wouldn't let anyone in to their room until 3pm, even though rooms were cleaned long before. We just had to hang out for 3 hours in our travel clothes. Hard to understand receptionists. Poor service in the restaurant, every time. Definitely a low class place with little feel for traveler.

They charged for the water they left in the room, $2 US. They over charged for drinks and food, as well, continually raised the price of an Americano at the bar. One day, less than $3 US, then next day $4, then the day we were leaving, $6! Gave a complimentary drink ticket to us but only good for a few drinks. Room was so tiny, no where to put our bags (we were 2 adults and 2 kids). At the end of our stay, they charged $73 to the room but could not identify what it was for. Do NOT book here, let them go out of business so a better one can open.

We stayed here for our anniversary, when we arrived the room was beautiful flowers and balloons, heart shaped towels. They really went above what i expected. Later that night we received a happy anniversary cake deliveredto our room. The service here was excellent the staff were all great from the front desk to the waiters the cleaning staff were amazing our room was spotless. The breakfast was also excellent, so much to choose from and very very good, fresh fruit every day many different options daily. The beach was clean and the snorkeling was amazing. I did not notice any sand flies and did not get bit while here, i know that was a concern but i never needed bug spray at all. I will be planning another trip very soon. I did not have a room with a view but i didnt need it i was out and about every day and not having a view was not a problem for me, i know that was also a complaint i have seen. My view was the walk way or alley but it had pretty trees and i basically used the balcony to dry my wet bathing suit so it was great! This was exactly what we wanted, a nice quiet clean resort with great service good food and friendly helpful staff and within budget.

The beach is nice and not too crowded compared to further down the beach near the water taxi/excursion dock. The length of the beach is clean and the vendors are not aggressive. It is a short walk to "the Wall" where the snorkeling is best. The pool area is nicely shaded with lots of tropical trees and plants and the pool itself is beautiful if a bit cold. There is no hot tub. The grounds were always immaculate. Our room had a nice view of the pool but the abundant foliage blocks water view from any room I would imagine. The rooms were clean if a bit spare. Some smaller details are missing and would go a long way--like soap/shampoo holder in shower, extra hooks there for rinsing/drying swimwear, a safe that is actually secured to the shelf or wall (it could just be picked up and walked away with). Also there were no chairs in room, we could only sit on bed or bring in table and chairs from deck. The staff was OUTSTANDING!! There were so many who really went above and beyond to help accommodate our late-night card playing by the pool, find another nearby ATM, heat left-overs in the beach bar kitchen and give us silverware, setting up chaises on the beach....sorry to say I don't have all names but a special recognition for Christopher who artfully arranged our fluctuating dining options and the transportation! We would definitely stay again.

Our room was updated, and though somewhat small, it was very decent. We had a great time there. There was no desk in the room, if you care. I didn't, but we are accustomed to having desks in the rooms in the US, right? The pool is great with lots of shady spots, and the beach access is perfect too. We ate at the outdoor restaurant at least once a day, and the food was quite decent, and some was downright delicious :) There is a scuba diving shop right by the restaurant. We did 8 dives in 5 days, and the diving is terrific. Restaurant serves free (included) breakfast buffets. Hours are only 7am-9:30am for breakfast buffet. And also they have buffet at lunch at dinner at extra cost. The little information sheet you get at checkin tells you the buffet hours, and you should read it :) The breakfast is great. there is an omelette station where they crack eggs(!); and always fresh fruit, pastries, etc. Often have scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, potatoes, the usual things, but the offerings changed somewhat each day. There are always vendors on the beach in Roatan, and outside this hotel is no exception. The vendors were not aggressive, so that was nicer than some other places I've been. Very walkable. Many other restaurants, bars, shops nearby including a pharmacy (farmacia). Also, you can take a water taxi a few steps down the beach over to West End (more restaurants/bars/shopping) for about $5 per person.

The proximity to some of the best snorkeling in West Bay was amazing. The staff were all very kind. Our room was kept clean by our housekeeping staff on a daily basis. They took care of us.

Originally we had a room with a foul smell, like gas coming from the kitchen area. We complained and requested a room change and/or partial refund. The property refused, and only after repeated complaints put us in a different room. Who knows what was going on with the room we left, Once we did move it was much better, but we lost a day of our 4-day stay to the aggravation and stress of the situation. The property did have a lot of mosquitoes. On the positive side, the bar/restaurant area was very friendly and helpful and there were numerous kids games and kid areas around the property. Would not stay there again, would look elsewhere (Kimpton next door) for nicer accommodations at that price, $600 per night

We stay in Oceanic King room on the 2nd floor for 1 week in January 2024. Cons: Room. Misleading name. I booked it because I thought that it has an ocean view. Very big disappointment. Instead, we had an ugly view of parking lot! Room looks outdated. The flow was dirty and sandy on the arrival. Our feet immediately got dirty. We washed the floor by ourselves. Next day the cleaning people made the floor dirty again. Since then I put the sign "please come back later" and we cleaned our room by ourselves. Uncomfortable bulky pillows, Fan in the bathroom did not work. Staff said that they have to order the motor. The doors in the closet were broken (they did not slide), but staff fixed it (thanks!). The nightstands smell like mold. Everything that we stored there start to smell like mold, so we have to transfer out items into the closet. Salty water is coming from the facet. Wi-Fi often was interrupted. Room is very overpriced! Pros: Nice, cozy and clean resort otherwise, well kept beach, games for adults too, friendly staff, great location, breakfast buffet was good, food in restaurant was very good, portions were big (enough for two people), but service was slow. We would love to like our stay, but the room made it a bad experience.

If you like the crazy West Bay Beach scene then you may enjoy Paradise Beach Hotel. It was convenient, clean, good beds and television, and staff was very nice. Breakfast buffet was very nice. I rated this hotel 3/5 because the water in bathroom was salty and shower rarely provided hot water. Restaurant on site was expensive so we found nearby, off-beach options that were very good. We didn't love the crazy beach scene with loud music, cruise boat tourists and all the beach activities (jet skis, banana boats, parachutes, vendors, etc.) but most of the families that stayed here seems to be really enjoying it.

Only a great location
Good: Great location with direct access to the best beach in Roatan. Most people in the hotel gave us good service. Bad: You are only paying for the location. The hotel rooms need an urgent update. Bathroom is extremely small and unconfortable. Very salty water running in the hotel pipelines. Beach bar and restaurant extremely expensive, specialy compared with the high end restaurants nearby.

Check in with Emme gave our planned trip a rough start. We arrived 1 day late due to weather diverted twice to Belize and then overnight in Cancun.We arrived the next day at 10am and she would not check us in until 3pm even though it was paid for. She tried to put us in a lower priced room she said that is what Expedia gave us and they were all sold out. Showed her my phone what we paid for and they had 7 rooms available. Another 30 minutes we finally check in. Later in the week we ask Emme for an early wake up call as we booked a tour….nope never got it. Staff is wonderful at the bar, beach. Grounds are beautiful and location is perfect. Our experience with Emme we will never stay at Paradise unfortunately.

NOT A FOUR STAR!
Not sure how this hotel is rated a 4??! *checked in with 1 other person (not busy). The front desk person was unfriendly, unhelpful, never gave us any hotel into (breakfast info, where’s the gym, bar, pool etc) *after we checked in went right to the bar on the beach. First beer was warm. Had to literally chase someone down for service when it wasn’t busy *next day just wanted to sit at the beach and have a few beers. No one offered a cushion. No waiters came around for 15 minutes. Asked for a beer. Was told they’d send a waiter. Asked 3 times never got a beer after 40 minutes. But when a cruise group showed up, they had cushions, umbrellas and waiters IMMEDIATELY. I just left to another hotel. I Guess hotel guests don’t matter as much as cruise guests ? Waiters seem to be bothered when you ask for anything generally. *rooms are tired, ceiling had mold. One small trash can in the bathroom, room fridge had a dirty glass and was blocked by the closet door. Towels were sad, and no glasses in the room. Overall the property is poorly maintained and well worn. *contacted hotel. Never heard from manager until AFTER I LEFT. *one thing was done well. Transportation from the airport. That’s it As a result of the total lack of service and unfriendly staff. I chose to never spend any money at your hotel instead went to the many other good options available. At the very least the paradise BEACH hotel should have amazing service at the BEACH. NOPE!

We loved our stay here. The breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. So easy to get to the beach for the best snorkeling ever! Only complaint I had was the hard, too high pillows, but otherwise room was great.

Paradise hotel is a great location for anyone traveling to Roatan for the first time. It offers easy & quick access to a beautiful stretch of beach. The staff was easy to communicate with, and responding quickly to any needs I had. I would definitely stay again at Paradise.

Dingy and dark room with misty smell. No activities, no entertainment. Got charged $150 USD for an "all-inclusive" upgrade that didn't really include anything - no alcohol at the restaurant, mediocre buffet. I feel ripped off -next time I'll look for better options on the island.

Not worth it. Waste of money bed bug infested
Was not worth it at all. Overly priced. Got bitten like never before in m room with bed bugs. I couldn’t wait to leave. The breakfast is not the best. There are so many mosquitoes. The rooms are ok, the bed isn’t comfortable. The gym is the only best thing.
