We like motels, and we don’t expect them to be something they are not, but this one is very dirty, and feels somewhat unsafe. The lobby was fine and the staff was friendly and efficient. We chose a room with an outdoor entrance to make things easier with our dogs ($15/dog).
The room itself was very dirty. Carpets, blankets, and furniture were all stained. There were tumbleweeds of dark hair in the corners of the bathroom and the shower curtain had a blood stain on it.
Not the motel’s fault, but my wife and child were leered at during unloading by a group of men drinking outside their rooms on the second floor. One of the men followed her to our room and knocked on our door to talk to her, leaving once he saw me.
Obviously we won’t stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it for families. With dogs the room was only about $60 cheaper than the Hampton Inn with their $75 dog fee.
