A lovely host that was very accommodating throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable, spacious, included a mini frig and had a balcony. The breakfast room had an adjoining terrace with amazing views of Mt. Etna. Free street parking in front of the B&B. Great location for day trips to Taormina, Mt. Etna, and Castiglione di Sicilia. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall a good value. Very nice host. A little bit of a walk from most of the restaurants and businesses in town, but there is good parking availability. I would stay here again if I ever visit Riposto!

Disappointing

From the excellent views I was expecting much better. Sadly on arrival the place looks run down, parking was on the road where ever you could find a space and not ‘guaranteed’ as said in the details. I have no idea what the water park is that they also quote. The rooms were very clean, and big. but I’ve never been anywhere that felt as unwelcoming and cold. The old metal frame beds were rock hard, and the rooms had no rugs or carpet or anything soft in them to make them comfortable. The shower in our room was so tiny you had to contort yourself to get in. It leaked and didn’t have much power. We had booked three nights, but left after two and booked somewhere else. The other places we stayed in Sicily were much more welcoming and pleasant places to stay. Riposto itself is better than you would think on arrival to the hotel, just a street over and it’s a bit more open, with some nice bars and restaurants. Nearer the sea is a nice square and some nice restaurants by the front. Georgia’s bar was a nice place to spend an evening.

Super hyggelig værtinde, som var yderst hjælpsom og ydet ekstra service, ved at stille kaffe frem til os og lade dørene være åbne, så vi kunne se solopgange og udbrudet på Etna, endda 2 timer før hun normalt åbnede til tagterrassen.

A nice friendly place to stay.

A great place to stay, rooms were good and the view of Mt Etna was great. The host was very helpful and friendly and breakfast was very good as well. Conveniently located for the station and not too far to walk into town. Le Giare was recommended to me and I'll happily recommend it again.

Exactly what we needed

We had a wonderful stay at La Giare for a week. We were well looked after, but were left to ourselves for the most part (which was just what we needed). All our questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. Housekeeping was of a high standard every day, and our personal preferences as to bedding were noticed and taken into account which was a really nice personal touch. Breakfast was lovely every day with an array of bread, pastries, cereals, fruit and yogurt amongst other things. The views from the breakfast room/terrace were beautiful as well. Overall it was a great stay, exactly the accommodation we wanted - would definitely recommend.

pleasant stay

Visiting Sicily effectively in transit only for a couple of days and making the most of the eastern side, we positioned ourselves both for the CircumEtnea train (in our case up to Randazzo and back), just round the corner from the mainline station, and for Taormina later in the day. Preferring to stay away from pricier options further up the coast, this B&B and its location seemed a likely fit for us, especially with its highly positive rating. Again, we were not disappointed. Stella (at both desk and breakfast) was delightful to deal with. The room was smart, with its balcony view of Etna over the rooftops and from the terrace, special to see both in both evening and morning lights. Modest, tidy, comfortable accommodation. Riposto and Giarre, either side of the tracks, offered authentic, everyday Italy for those making really only a flying stop and less fixed on the fashionable and paying for it. Much enjoyed.

Good stay, room was big enough with separate bathroom. climatisation also as free wifi available. great view to Etna, near the rail station, just few minutes to Catania. The owner was so nice and helpful to plan the day.
