There was mold everywhere in our bathroom. Ned sheets were not clean. I asked them to change the room without mold and they did. There was mold in the 2nd room too. Except the bathroom, the rest of the room was ok. The reception guy was not that helpful, but he was kind and nice.

This hotel is perfectly situated: it’s almost at the half of Leme/Copacabana and because of it walking to Ipanema and the surrouding area is close as well. Also, a lot of shops, restaurants etc are close as well and you just have to cross the street to head to the beach. Also, for both cars, taxis and ubers it’s really easy to park as well. Besides accessibility the staff of the hotel is really friendly and happy to help with all questions. So for me, if I head back to Copacabana I wouldn’t search long for a hotel

Excellent location on Copa beach. Many great restaurants are nearby. Room size is appropriate. Shower is very comfortable. Breakfast is okay not great. The only complaint is bathroom vanity easily got wet due to small vanity and water spill.

We just left the hotel and we’re already planning our next trip. The hotel location is great. We visited for my fiancé’s 40th birthday, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay for our first time in Rio. The staff was fantastic, from the check in, to the beach staff (Chaz was amazing!), to the restaurant. Everyone was super helpful and accommodating. We’ll definitely be booking with Mercure Rio Boutique again, and will be recommending to friends and family. Job well done! Our only feedback- the towels were a little rough, it’s time for some new ones. Other than that, 5 stars!

Very nice hotel! Excellent view of Copacabana beach from my room. The staff is amazing and very kind!! Just be VERY CAREFUL on the beach! NEVER buy anything from informal vendors, I got scammed by a huge amount.
