This was an excellent choice for a hotel. The room and dinning area where they offered free breakfast was very clean. There was a variety of delicious food. The hotel is located about two blocks from the Copacabana Beach, so walking was easy. Also they have a beautiful rooftop along with a pool with an amazing view of the mountains and the Christ the Redeemer. I would highly recommend you stay there.

My recent stay at Americas Copacabana Hotel was excellent! The hotel's location is ideal--within walking distance of a supermarket, a variety of restaurants, and Copacabana Beach. The hotel's staff members were tremendous--professional and personable. The room was very nice and comfortable. The included breakfast was outstanding. I'm thankful to all of the team members I encountered; they each contributed to a first-rate experience!

Very small room and a constant smell of sewage from the bathroom in our room. The bathroom had an extremely rusty mirror, rusty trashcan, and the sink would spray water everywhere. The AC barely worked and there weren’t any outlets next to the bed which made it harder to charge our phones. The parking rate was the cheapest we found in the city, and the breakfast was phenomenal.

Great location a few blocks from the beach. 24-hour front desk always had someone on staff that spoke English and that was super helpful. Nice rooftop with pool, gym, and bar that served food from the restaurant downstairs. I would definitely stay there again.

great location, service is left wanting

Great price for the location, with relatively modernized rooms. But man will they make you earn your stay - tough to order room service if you don't speak portugese, similar story with reception, the cleaning crews will be around early mornings in the corrdiros which you can hear in the room due to paper thin walls.

Excellent stay

I was having a hard time finding a safe , reasonable and well located hotel in Copacabana. Well, Americas fit the bill. Reception is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and air conditioning worked well. Wifi was spotty in the room, but worked very well in reception and in the rooftop pool area. Breakfast had a good selection and hot items changed daily. Room had a safe and the area felt safe at night for a walk to a restaurant or supermarket. Will definitely be back.

The room was rather small. It was a STANDARD DOUBLE. I am lucky I was by myself. Had I been accompanied I would not have been able to open 2 large suitcases. The lifts took a while to come. Nevertheless, the staff were superb! Ms Charlene, Mr Mataus and all the rest of the staff went far and beyond to assist me. Thank you all for a FANTASTIC stay💙🙏.

Property is in a great location. Front desk and cleaning staff all excellent and friendly. Breakfast buffet good but very crowded. One thing to improve- the curtains do not fully close to block out early morning sunlight. Had to use a blanket hung in window in order to sleep past 6 am. But overall, a good budget-minded hotel.

After a long haul flight arrived at the hotel at 8am but check in was not available. Staff said come at 12pm and then 2pm but check in was done at 3pm. Staff not very helpful. Did not respond to emails before arrival date. Hotel is on a busy noisy street, windows are not double glazed. No coffee or tea facilities in room. Limited hangers. Overall hotel was basic quality. Hotel was in a good location. Breakfast had a good choice.
