"10/10 stay! The host was incredibly responsive and communicated clearly throughout. The property was easy to find, the Wi-Fi was strong, and the atmosphere was so peaceful. I only stayed one night, but I already wish it had been longer! The cherry on top was the complimentary snack basket—a thoughtful touch that made the stay even more special. Swipe to see the view from the bed… absolutely beautiful!"

"Na verblijf was één grote tegenvaller. Het lijkt op de website alsof je in het Pink House verblijft, met gebruik van de keuken, maar dat was niet het geval. Eerst moesten we een half uur wachten omdat de eigenaar de boeking niet had gezien. We kregen daarna een zeer eenvoudige en niet erg schone kamer met alleen een tafel en een koelkast. We konden ons gekochte eten dus niet koken. Toen we gingen douchen sloegen de stoppen door. Dat bleek een bekend probleem. De eigenaar beloofde na veel boze...

Eco Hotel Uxlabil Atitlan

"El hotel tiene unas vistas espectaculares del lago y el rostro maya desde CADA habitación. Tiene su propio muelle que hace más accesible el transporte por el lago. El personal del hotel es sumamente amable y hace la gestión para pedir lancha cada vez que se necesita. Los desayunos son completos y variados e incluídos en la tarifa. Es un hotel tranquilo y sus alrededores están muy bien cuidados. Hay que tener en cuenta antes de reservar que NO tienen tv, ni a/c y el agua de la ducha es templada, no hay agua caliente. Pero estos dos factores se entienden porque es un hotel ecológico. Las personas con dificultad en su movilidad deben saber que hay que subir escaleras para acceder a las habitaciones y las diferentes áreas del hotel. Está cerca del centro del pueblo San Juan, a donde puedes ir caminando con facilidad y seguridad. Si buscas tranquilidad y buenas vistas este hotel es para ti."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mercy and would definitely recommend it. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Umbrella Street, the main dock, restaurants, cafés, and other popular attractions around Lake Atitlán. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel grounds and gardens are beautiful, creating a peaceful atmosphere, and the staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Breakfast was included and offered a nice variety of options. The only thing we wish had been made clearer before booking is that the rooms do not have air conditioning or a television. Fortunately, the weather in the area is cool, especially at night, so we never actually needed A/C. However, as travelers who are used to hotels offering air conditioning, it was surprising to arrive and find that it wasn’t available. The hotel also offers free parking, which we appreciated. My only suggestion would be to improve the appearance of the entrance and parking area, as it could benefit from being paved or better landscaped to match the beauty of the rest of the property. Additionally, a couple of the outdoor furniture pieces, while beautiful, needed minor repairs because some nails were exposed. It was great to see that the hotel is expanding and continuing to grow, which speaks well of its future. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again."

"This hotel is really unique and really feels integrated with the nature around it. It was very clean, comfortable, and had great views. But the best part about our experience there was the staff. The manager was so helpful and kind. I had mistakenly booked for the wrong date and booked an extra day (not sure how I managed that). The manager completely took care of us and not only prepared a room for us, but she sorted things out with Expedia so I was reimbursed for the extra booked night and didn't have to deal with that myself while on vacation. She was amazing. I didn't even have to ask for the help, she took the initiative and took care of everything for me! I would definitely stay there again. Just be aware that there are a lot of stairs getting to check in and the rooms, so this is a hotel better suited for physically fit folks!"

"The room was beautiful and it was really clean. The area of the hotel is also very beautiful with all the trees and plants everywhere. Perfect location in my opinion, the stores close around 9pm and it's quiet after sun fall. San Juan and San Pedro is only 10-15 ferry ride. It was an excellent stay and the staff were very helpful with our luggage."

"Refugio del Volcan is situated right outside of the busy part of San Pedro, so it is super quiet and peaceful. It’s also gated making it feel very secure. We felt comfortable leaving our windows and front door open. Being outside of town means you must either walk or get a tuk tuk, so be prepared for that. The walk up to the villas is quite steep and a bit laborious. There is no lighting, so you’ll need a phone or headlamp to guide your way. The villa was plenty big and clean. We were disappointed there wasn’t a coffee maker for mornings - restaurants and cafes aren’t close. Overall, we happy with the stay."
