Room was very clean and well presented, with all expected facilities. Plenty of parking and welcoming staff. Breakfast provision was not clear when booking but was available to purchase each morning. The menu suggested that continental breakfast was included in the price of all cooked breakfasts but it was not evident. Breakfast was a good portion size and very tasty. Evening meals available at a discounted price and were very filling. These was some evidence of a historic water leak in corridor which could be redecorated, but time may be needed to let it dry out. Looking forward to staying again!

For the very reasonable price we paid we can't complain! A good stopover for 1 night, but I wouldn't choose to stay for more than that. Parking was a big bonus. Bedding and towels were clean, but the room and pub itself could do with a good clean.

The room we stayed in needs a good clean and renovating. It was dirty in many places and you could see daylight around the edge of the door. Outside our room was someone’s drawers with their personal belongings in. They’d been there most of the day. We got woken up really early with staff chatting outside. All round not a very good stay at all. Great location though.

Unfortunately there was no hot water in our room and the kitchen was closed due to a gas problem which we were not informed of in advance. They did manage to do us a reasonable breakfast though. The hotel is a little dated but good for contractors when the hot water is back on.
