Lazy Parrot is a quaint, casual place to stay. We were looking to stay on the west coast of PR, not far from beaches. Overall it is clean and surrounded by lush, tropical vegetation. Room was spacious.
What we didn’t like was the lack of staff. The front desk only has employees from 10 am - 5 pm. If you arrive later than 5 be prepared to go on a scavenger hunt to find your room key. We leave super early in the morning and come back late from our beach adventures so we never saw employees. After our first day out we noticed that although they placed fresh towels in the room, they didn’t add toilet paper or refill toiletries. So the next day we made a point to call and ask. It’s ridiculous to have to ask when they know the room is for 4 people and doesn’t have the basics. After returning from a full day out they had not done so. We were completely out so we called the after hours number. It took over an hour to bring it, so finally at 10 pm we could shower. They know Rincon is a beach area and people are going to want to come back and shower after a day out. I shouldn’t even have to call during business hours to ask them to refill these things, but the fact that I actually DID call and they still didn’t refill it made me frustrated. Also housekeeping doesn’t make beds, clean or sweep. Only replaces towels.
