"This hotel is out of date! The bathroom was in need of a major remodel. The tub caulking was dark, the lining around the tub was hanging off, and no vent in the bathroom so moisture issues. The ac didn't work properly and the front cover was hanging off. The remote did not control the TV channel, only the volume. The phone didn't work. The room smelled stale and the hallways were very hot and humid. One elevator wasn't working and the pool was out of order. There was visibly construction tools everywhere which is a safety hazard."

"The property was very clean and well maintained. The room and everything in it, was also very clean The bed was comfortable with more than enough pillows and the temperature in room,was great. From the font desk check in to check out,all the staff helpful and pleasant. Would definitely come back and recommend my friends."

"My stay at the Red Carpet Inn was terrible from start to finish. The room was dirty, poorly maintained, and completely unacceptable. The worst part was discovering what appeared to be a bed bug on me after I returned home from the hotel. Because of this, I now have to take serious precautions and arrange fumigation and cleaning in my home to avoid a possible infestation. This has caused major stress, inconvenience, and unexpected expenses for my household. I am documenting everything and plan to report this issue to the appropriate health and safety authorities so it can be investigated properly. I also expect compensation for the damages and costs resulting from this stay. I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here until these issues are addressed."

"Staff was nice and helpful. James, one of the members on staff was a great help!! Due to unexpected circumstances, travel became stressful for me. James helped sort out my reservations and helped put me to ease.Thank you!! My only complaint is I felt some of the furniture chairs/couches had too many stains and should be cleaned or replaced."

"This is the former Conde Naste headquarters so the property is very stylish and impressive. It’s a huge hotel with a recent remodel so there are conferences on the weekdays and weddings on the weekends. I was there on a Monday, so it was quiet, perfect for a good nights sleep. Rooms are spacious, clean and well lit. I liked the quality of the shampoo etc. Some rooms face the interior atrium which I would probably not be comfortable in since there could be noise from the bar area."

"Really disappointed in this booking. It was rated as “good” on Expedia and it was not good in any capacity. I came to Connecticut for my nephews graduation and all the other hotels were booked up. We arrived and our room smelled AWFUL. It smelled like people had been smoking in it for days combined with a chemical smell from them probably trying to cover the smell with cleaning products. The room also had black mold around the sink. After complaining, they switched our room to one that didn’t smell god awful, but there was evidence of dead bugs and ticks all over the floor. The bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t close right. The towels were dingy. Never again"
