We had no hot water and our tv remote had melted batteries
Overall it was fine. The room temperature could never quite get cool enough, food was mediocre, rooftop was closed so minor disappointments. Room size was huge and mini kitchen was very convenient to have, the in and out parking can't be beat. Overall it was a good experience for work travel.
The shower didn't work properly. The front desk and staff were overall very nice but when we brought this up to them they weren't able to give us an alternative room due to being completely booked so they sent someone from maintenance to try fixing it.
Maintenance said (and I quote), "I don't know how to fix this, I'll come back tomorrow" We were checking out the next day so there was no point and when we told maintenance they said "oh, sorry"
To make things worse, the toilet stopped flushing later that night
Ac didn’t work at all in our room. Requested it to be fixed. Was told it would be and returned later in the day to it still not working. We ended up getting a room change. Ac still not working in another room. Ended up getting yet another room change. Same issue. Cleanliness was fine. Staff was kind but the air ventilation and temperature made the nights there a bit out of comfort.

When we first entered thd room and it had a musty smell. We had a suite and the heat only worked in the bedroom. They sent someone to look at it and he turned on the ac! We only had a small 2 person sofa to sit on. There was no side chair or dining area as advertised.

tldr; room was filthy, gas alarm going off was ignored by the hotel, both Hilton and hotels.com unwilling to help.
My partner and I were excited to find a hotel in Richmond that allowed pets. First, the front desk person told us our room was give to another customer. Another room was found for us and we were told to wait to make sure it was cleaned. The new room was filthy upon entering with piles of dirt, food, and finger nails in plain sight. I did a quick clean up as much as I could. The room also had so many nooks and crannies that small pets will get lost and stuck. The big kicker and why this review is being written is how unsafe this property is. While we were napping the gas detection system went off and notified us of gas in the room. We promptly took our pets and left. When the room was checked by the staff we were told that the alarm was a “wake up call alarm”. The alarm in question literally says “Gas Detection solutions”. The staff also said this happens all the time and repeated several times “there is no gas here.” Needless to say we chose not to die in the room and left the hotel. Hilton has been unresponsive to our concerns and request for a refund and Hotels.com has refused to help us in getting our money or at least a credit for the night we left.
I think it’s incredibly irresponsible for Hotels.com to continue to recommend this hotel on their site and claim there’s nothing they can do to right this issue.
The suite was spacious and comfortable for a business trip. The location is very convenient as is the integration of the hotel with the parking garage. They have a very efficient elevator system that sends you to one of the four elevators labeled A-D depending on what floor you request. Breakfast was noticeably higher quality than your average hotel with a lot of variety.
There afternoon of my second day there, a city water main broke (completely out of the hotel’s control), causing practically all guests to have to leave early, as there was no running water in the guest suites. In this challenging situation, the help desk staff was very professional and helpful, especially considering how many people had to check out in a short time. To make up for the inconvenience of having to find alternate lodging, they kindly refunded both nights of my two-night stay. It will be my top choice the next time I need lodging in downtown Richmond.

We booked this hotel because we needed a spacious room. It was great from that standpoint. It had a sofa, some additional seating, decent lighting, a decent kitchenette and it was clean. The bathroom layout, with no door to the sink area was weird. It was good from the standpoint that two people could shimmy around each other to do makeup, and the vanity was a decent size, but if someone were sleeping in the room there was no way to close the door and be quiet. Other oddities/mishaps were that the bathroom sink only had steaming hot water, no cold or lukewarm water. Ouch. The safe was broken and unusable. The beds were comfortable but the blankets were inserted into a weird uncomfortable duvet covering and kept falling out of the covering. The pillows seemed to decades old and were all different shapes and sizes. The extra pillows in the closet had no pillowcases on them. Breakfast was extremely basic and no pastries of any sort. They did not have decaf coffee. I had to go to the lobby of the Hampton Suites to get decaf. It wasn’t a big deal, just weird. And it was not inexpensive. Anyway, mixed bag but the large, clean room worked out for us.
Staff were great, room was pretty good for the price with it being basically its own little apartment. Breakfast was awesome and the guy keeping it stocked was wonderful.
Parking for 25 a day was and is a bit ridiculous but everywhere is paid parking. However 5th and marshal was significantly cheaper.
Bathroom was so bright it was uncomfortably so and it made me not want to take a shower in the morning because it would give me a headache and burn.
We had a threat in the lobby from a homeless person that was quite unsettling! Also, had multiple issues with access keys, once in parking garage & no one responded to call. I am SO disappointed in my stay, waste of money & stressil!
Overall stay was OK. It just feels a little old in the rooms - however they were stocked and clean. My room was missing a safe and the front staff was not super helpful. I was having to wait on hold and then had to follow up with them. It is on the safer side of downtown Richmond and there was not a time I felt unsafe at location. Breakfast is a nice addition - parking was easy. I would say it’s not a bad hotel by any means but isn’t one I would be eager to return to.
I was there for 4 days and DID NOT receive housekeeping service of any kind. When I called the front desk to inquire, they mentioned that I had to request for service even though there is a sign in the room stating that housekeeping is preformed every other day.
Great stay and wonderful staff. Breakfast was convenient and very tasty. Only issue was the television was not working. Overall, a great stay.

Parking deck was challenging. Elevator situation was very difficult and overall friendliness of staff was poor and not accommodating still waiting on my security deposit refund and have not seen it. Going to have to make a call.
There were fruit flies or some type of flies all over the room especially in the kitchen, I did have some bites on me. The toilet top was broken, and the ceiling was leaking all over the place at the check in desk. The clerk that checked me in was very nice and apologetic for the leak which was all over the floor. The maintenance man was very nice and took measures to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
