"Having arrived late at night and very tired, we struggled to get a good night's sleep -- the room was stuffy, the aircon was not functional, and an open balcony door brought in endless traffic noises. In the morning we expressed our frustration with the manager who helped us find a mutually satisfactory solution: we were moved to the top floor and given a room fan. The fan, in particular, changed everything for the better! We were very pleased with the outcome, the helpfulness of staff, and their good natured approach to our rather poorly-slept grouchiness. For the rest of the week, everything was great! The pool is large and immaculately clean. There's a poolside bar and many lounge chairs. Breakfast buffet was included in a very reasonably priced room; and we even learned how to make Greek coffee! Our room had a partial sea view, looking out over the main police station. There is coffee/tea in the room, but nothing special -- just the usual stuff. The elevators are fast and efficient but terribly small, fitting at best 3 people. The location of the hotel is perfect for new town and old town, for water front, access to buses out of town, and so many shops and restaurants. The hotel, like the town itself, has a laid-back vibe which we adored. When faced with numerous options of places to go and things to do, we chose to extend our stay for a day and enjoy Rodos!"
