"Lovely breakfast. Good choices."

"The hotel had everything we needed, close to the train station and numerous restaurants and retailers. However, we chose to eat our evening meal in the charming hotel restaurant. It was a delicious and plentiful, home cooked meal. Our room had a comfortable bed, lots of natural light and a large, full glass shower, which is difficult to find in conventional hotels these days. I wish to commend the hotel staff, in particular Ms. Gayle, at the reception desk, who went out of her way to return a valuable, person item, my eyeglasses. Without hesitation, she immediately put them in the mail. I received them within 24 hours, averting a holiday disaster. Thank you George Hotel, you truly made us feel at home!"

"Cracking B&B, Not far from town centre. And somewhere to park! Ideal. Host's were lovely, had a free cookie when I arrived, Went well with a cuppa. Lovely pub 5 min away, Very good prices!!..... And yes I apologise, I was rather worse for ware in the morning. Breakfast looked excellent, but I had to abstain??.... Would stay again."

"Onernight stay on way to Scotland. Lovely quiet location within a few miles of M6. Friendly staff, clean pleasant room. Had evening meal in the restaurant which was very good. Enjoyed it so much we repeated the experience on the way back! Second night room was a bit smaller but fine for overnight. "

"This is a lovely hotel, well located for stunning views of the landscape. Our room was well decorated, and had a lovely bathroom with a walk in shower. The walls were pretty thin, we could hear people in the neighbouring rooms around us. The bed was really comfortable, excellent Wi-fi and a smart TV on the wall was perfect. We had an evening meal which was served in a cozy room with an open fire, I can still taste the lovely Borders Beef. Breakfast was similarly great, and meant that overall we had a great stay. "

"Hotel was spotless. Having it's own car park was great. Staff were excellent, especially in the breakfast room. Ladies wrapped our breakfast up so we didn't miss our Easter egg hunt! Nothing was too much trouble. Great price for what you get. Thank you for a lovely stay. Will definitely be back."
