I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the condition of my current stay at your Sandman property in Revelstoke, specifically in Room 226. The room is in very poor condition and does not reflect the quality I expect from a Sandman Hotel. The appliances are outdated, and there are visible stains on the carpets, floors, and even the ceiling. The exterior and interior doors are damaged, and overall, the property appears neglected and poorly maintained. Given the condition of the room, the nightly rate of over $200 feels extremely unreasonable. Based on the state of the accommodations, a more appropriate rate would be closer to $50. This experience has fallen far short of expectations and surprised Expedia would represent this location

The whole room smells musky. Carpet is so old and smelly that we had to keep our shoes on the whole time. Building is very dated, only the flower baskets outside looked nice. Mattress cover has blood stains. A lot of bugs on the ceiling. One bedside lamp does not work. The main light above the dining table flicks like crazy for a few minutes before finally turned on and stable. Kitchenette is so dirty and not usable. Got two queen beds in the room but only provided two bath towels. Our family had to share. Coffee creamer was spoiled. We are not sure we would even like to stay there even if the price were halved. For the price, the place was not comfortable at all. Especially the stain in bed was just terrible.

They advertised a balcony room overlooking pool. Pool was out of service (empty and no advance notice of that) and pool area was the hottest massive sauna space you can imagine, which made sitting on the “balcony” physically dangerous and unbearable. Room AC barely kept up. That and the constantly barking dog across the hall, expensive stay in a 2 star (at best) hotel. Never again Samdman. Done with your chain, for good. Take my advice…stay somewhere else.

I was not expecting this hotel to be a “motel” style. One building attached to the check in office. The other building was motel style. No elevator. We booked a room with king but got 2 doubles. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioning was very good. Bathroom could use some upgrades. Toilet ran longer than it should. I don’t think I would stay here again.

Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t great. The room was not as clean as expected, and we could hear a lot of noise from the rooms next door and above us, which made it hard to relax. The hallways had a noticeable musty and smoky smell, and we even found an old food container under the bed, which suggested it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. The check-in area looked nice and gave a good first impression, but the rest of the property didn’t live up to that standard. The photos online were a bit misleading. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again and would recommend looking at other options.

We were placed in this weird room with a window to a bizarre indoor corridor with an abandoned pool. It was advertised as have two pools. No. One very dated pool. Our room was on the second floor. No elevator. Room was smelly and dank. And with no fresh air or sunlight it felt like we were in a cave. Awful awful for $250. Not worth it at all. Downtown core of town was super cool. Stay down there not at this dated crap hotel. Pictures are complexly misleading. Never stay there again. So disappointed.
