"I have mixed feelings about this resort. It is a very unique place, full of unique things such as a steam powered traction engine and old model A style car etc. There's a ghost town, lake activities, ping-pong, billiards etc. As the pictures show, the building itself is very unique. It was very close to the busy Canadian Transcontinental highway, however, we couldn't hear traffic from our room. The beds are old spring mattresses and the pillows were not very comfortable. I think the staff are trying hard to maintain the place but it feels a bit old and worn. The dining room was short staff, although they struggled hard to complete all the orders. The food was 3/10. We both ordered cider which the ingredients showed water, vodka and flavorings. Not good. This would be a great place for a family with younger kids. There's plenty for them to do, and they don't care about beds or worn furniture. I'm retired and traveling with my wife, the walls and floors are thin and we could hear the kids through the walls and running/shouting in the corridors until well after our bed time. One final point, there's no wifi in the rooms, and we didn't know there's NO AIR CONDITIONING until we got an email from the hotel a few days before we were due to stay."
