4 stars because it is hard to find a parking space if you’re with a car. There is paid parking though — we parked the car overnight and paid €13 (for approx. 16hrs). Good location nevertheless as the property is close restaurants, shops and seaside. Views were amazing!

Nice view over the harbor. Not unexpectedly it was very loud due to the many restaurants in the area. What i did not appreciate is that I had a very early drive to the airport, and I was not offered the convenience of a coffee machine to make myself a coffee. It would he emanate to leave the coffee machine out for me to make a coffee. Not an unusual request.

We had an apt type room at Ink. It was great. The location is very nice, but parking and driving there is not. We did get lucky with parking, but we were only there for one night. If we would have had to move the car, it would have been much more challenging, I'm sure. Luckily you can walk everywhere in town. There was a hot tub in our private courtyard. They had water and a drink as a welcome gift. There was a set up for a limited kitchen which we did not use. We entered through the backdoor unknowingly, so it was a bit harder to find the check-in. Enter by the front (Seaside) and no problem. There are a lot of steps. Every room you go to. We had too much stuff for all the steps :) We didn't care for our bed, but the kids had single beds and both said it was the most comfortable on the trip. They are young adults. Breakfast was harder to find close by. We should have asked for recommendations.

Stayed one night at Ink Hotels in Rethymno. Street parking is hard in this area so we parked in the public pay per hour lot across the street (maybe a 5 minute walk to the hotel itself). It was about 12 euros for our 14-hour stay (which we thought was pretty reasonable). It is in the perfect spot to go shopping, explore the city, and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The room was clean, affordable and air conditioned, which is really all we needed. My room was off an alleyway so you could hear conversations at night, but it wasn’t obnoxious and they did provide ear plugs just in case (although we didn’t need them).

The place is run down. The carpet was disgusting. We stayed two nights. There was a shade to cover the large window to the entry door. It was operated by a chain that didn’t work after bringing the shade down. So it was difficult get in and out of the room around the floppy shade. We told management first thing in the morning and they never corrected it. They said they would tel the property manager. Regardless of what happened, it was never fixed. The beds are hard as rocks and low, low to the ground. There was a lot of noise. There was fake gross grass on our patio. Any place would be better.
